Cost tier changes. So, people have suggested dropping the 6300 tier. Which is a good way to grab champions faster without making ANY changes to the current way of gaining IP. Well...I don't think that's a good idea. I don't mind the 6300 tier, it shows players what champions are new and I think we can all agree that the newer champions are becoming more and more complicated (or at least have a higher skill cap). SO keeping this tier is fine in my opinion. The change I suggest is that there should only be 10 champions in this tier. If we go by the logic that the newer champions are the ones in the 6300 tier then it should really only be champions that are a year old or so. There are 32 champions in the 6300 tier. That's 32 out of 125 (126 with Tahm Kench) that's 25% of champions. 8% seems a little more fair to me with 10 in the 6300 tier.

Less IP the longer you play during the day. Is there an IP cap? I read that bot/custom games let you play 6 games a day before lowering to almost no gain. I mean...seriously 6 games of bots? I remember grinding in Halo 4 to beat friends in level when it came out. The cap was 150,000 XP before resetting. That shit took me all day nonstop playing to reach without the challenges or commendations. 6 bot games to reach the bot game cap is like 3 hours MAX. So...you wanna kill IP farming? That's fair, grinding IP really doesn't make the game fun. You want players to gain IP naturally and just by playing. Here, have a first win of the day bonus to encourage players to play at least 1 game a day.

Bonuses First win of the day? 150 extra IP. Okay lets bump that up to 300 IP. Also, why is this the only bonus? How about a win streak bonus? Or breaking a loss streak? It'd encourage people to try more in games. The loss streak maybe not though...but at least its an idea right? Why should the only bonuses be for purchase? Why not add bonuses for doing things in game. Win a game in less than 30 minutes (150 extra IP). What's the bad side of this? Win trading? No...really think about this community, how many pentas have you run from because YOU didn't want the enemy to get the Penta? Most people aren't just going to give the win bonus for free...people aren't that nice. And even the select few that do? Who cares? Really....REALLY WHO CARES!? If people are willing to grind out IP through win trading then why should anyone care? It'd take 2 teams of at least 4 people who want to do it. There's a very slim chance win traders will meet often enough in game. What about customs? Custom games should reward players the longer the game goes. In my opinion people playing customs are playing for fun and not for IP grinding. If people are grinding IP then the longer the game goes the more they should get because if they're willing to stay in a 45 minute game without doing anything then they at least deserve the IP for wasting their time anyway.
More IP for less played game modes.
This has been suggest so much. It's a good idea, it encourages players to try new things. This is a no brainer. No reason to write out an argument.
After 5 games straight playing I start getting 68 IP for wins, and 34 for losses. Why? Why am I being capped at 5 or 6 games again EVEN IN NORMALS? First of all, wins should never go below 100 IP and losses should never go below 50....and that's generous.
63 wins is a single max tier champion. 20 minutes wins? That's 21 hours. A full day of nonstop wins is a SINGLE CHAMPION. Ehem friends at Riot...this is ridiculous...and that's a higher IP gain than you're currently giving. Just saying.![]()
- Using Mastery for IP gain. The mastery system has a lot of room for improvement, improvement we as a player base were promised. One of the possible changes could be gaining IP for beating enemies with the maximum mastery. (Assuming Riot adds levels) Another possibility would be IP gain for leveling up. So people who want to practice a champion would gain IP while learning them, then they could go on to spend that IP on the necessary runes to use on that champion. (assuming they don't have all the runes and a dedicated rune page to a certain champion) Even if they don't need the runes or a page, the IP can be used on the next champion they plan to master!
50 Games 100 Games 500 Games 1000 Games Then going in intervals of 250 or so. Something as simple as this increases the will to play and rewards long time players with bonuses they honestly deserve. If someone's put 1000 games in at 20 minutes that's still 333 hours straight of playing.
- 10 newest champs at 6300 tier.
- No IP capping
- More Bonuses
- More IP for unpopular game modes
- Why not...just more IP per game?
- Using the mastery system to gain
- Milestone gains
