Riven mains, I have a question.

How do you Q cancel correctly? Everytime I try I fail... like I dont understand it at all. How I see it, is I click somewhere else but Riven doesnt cancel the Q animation. So I'm here to ask you Riven mains, how do you guy Q animation cancel?

I've learnt every single top laner in this game, practically, for sure I havent master every one of them yet, Yasuo/Ryze others, but I'm capable of playing them and not look absolutely terrible and not know what im doing. With Riven, I cannot at all.. My theory with champions are, if you want to beat them, learn them. So please, show me your ways.

Don't bother to learn it, after PBE buffs go live animation cancel won't really matter anymore.

ehh Rivens that doesnt know how to animation cancel doesnt scare me, I'll just play champions that are strong laners ex Renekton Irelia. But Riven that knows how to animation cancel can practically beat anyone. So I want to learn it, so I can study the champion and never play it again

People really don't realize how small those ult buffs are in the grand scheme of things. Most Riven mains don't care either way if they go through or not.

As for animation canceling the Q you just gotta click the ground during your q, which then cancels the q animation by triggering you to move but then you click your target quickly right after which causes your to auto attack and then you Q again. It kinda just becomes muscle memory after a while, and some people have different ways they prefer to do it, for instance I do believe some people prefer to double click the ground because it helps them with timings.

Thankyou, managed to do it in custom with the double ground click! I might need more practice with it before I can go into a real game with it though. but thanks alot! and yeah that buff isnt much, but still something.
