How to fix Mordekaiser in a few SIMPLE steps

The simple step(s) is not just "reverting the rework," we all know that won't happen, even if we can all agree it would be for the better. There are a few issues that make this new Mordekaiser toxic to the game, and with just a few simple steps, he could be considered balanced again.

There is NO that we can just buff or nerf Mordekaiser in his current state. Buffing him would make him even more broken, but nerfing him will make him useless. What can we do in order to make him a healthy champion again? In just a few **simple **steps, we could solve this (hopefully).

Alright, prepare for this!

  1. **Remove his W EXP - Passive. ** At least 90% of us can agree that this mechanic needs to go. This is probably the only thing that's holding Mordekaiser together in bot lane. Riot knew that placing a slow, melee Juggernaut without any CC or mobility into the bot lane would put him at a disadvantage. In order to keep him relevant down there, they tacked on a "free-exp" passive to his W, just to make sure that he could go toe-to-toe with the ADCs. This passive gives Mordekaiser free power, and Riot has said many times that these kinds of skills are bad for the game. Some examples would be Sona's and Taric's auras, as well as Janna's old passive. He doesn't need any special advantage over other champions, so just get rid of this.

  2. Remove his R Dragon - Passive When I first saw the previews for his new skills, I was really hyped for this one. This just seemed awesome, but I thought it could've been too strong if the Dragon kept its same base stats. What would have been more balanced, would be reducing the stats of the dragon by a % of its base stats. Instead of the Dragon ghost having 3000 Health, it could have 50% of that. A 1500 Health dragon would still be a good meat-shield, but it wouldn't be as oppressive as it is right now. However, this is another random mechanic tacked onto his kit, which is also eating up at his power budget. Notice how all of his skills are pretty weak now, besides his Q? All of his damage is in his Q, while the rest of his power budget is in his W and R passive. Mordekaiser was once a simple champion, not someone with 3 passives! Remove this dragon passive, as it basically gives his team free towers once it's up. We've already see what he can do with the dragon during Worlds;** it isn't fair**.

  3. Compensate for lost passives through adjustments I've said this many times, but Mordekaiser has very low base stats since his rework. Here are a few suggestions:

Increase Movement Speed to at least 330 from 325. Increase Base Health to 540 from 525. Increase Health per level to 80 from 73. Decrease Base Health Regen to 3.5 from 4. Increase Health Regen per level to 0.45 from 0.3 Increase Base Armor to 24 from 20. Increase Base Attack Speed to 0.63 from 0.6 Decrease Attack Damage per level to 4.5 from 5.

Some of these may seem a little random, but his stats were much better before his rework. These are just some slight buffs to mirror his old stats (not exact though). Besides these stat changes, I would really love it if Riot would let his W be self-cast with the AoE over time effect... but I doubt that they would do this. I would love to see his Q's damage toned down slightly, then have his E base damage buffed, but remove the AD ratio. Something like 70 / 100 / 130 / 160 / 190 (+ 70% AP).

Anyways, let me know what you think! W passive and Dragon passive need to go.... just let it happen, Riot!

It feels good to know that I'm not the only one who thinks that this rework was a shit move by Riot and you sir have my respect. But to be honest I believe that removing those bullshit passives and adjusting some stats won't be enough(well maybe not for me but if they work for you I'm not gonna judge). What I believe should happen is a better rework, one that focuses on Morde being a fighter that either rips his enemy to shreds or dies in a blaze of glory, which would bring back the Master of Metal that I fell in love with.I know this may sound biased or something like that(as if I ever gave a shit) but maybe if all the stars align Riot would make him the skull crushing badass who always sacrificed control for power. But that's my opinion so who cares?

Also, again, great job buddy.I sure pray that someone at Riot is reading your post.
