Illaoi's E's scaling is a little strong atm

It just deals too much damage for how safe it is. It's long range so you don't put yourself in danger, it moves fast enough and retracts fast enough so the enemy spends most of the animation dodging the skill and has no time to punish, and at rank 1 it deals up to 32% of the targets hp uncontested (if you approach then you you might also take damage from her q/passive tentas which hurt more than the soul itself.) The problem lies with the kit she was given. If she has any tentacles available then you can't fight her. Her e prevents you from extending to kill said tentacles. And her q punishes you for positioning behind minions (even if you dodge it she's pushing the wave and you have to spend even more time dodging stuff. And on the topic of her ultimate, I know people like to say "just walk out of it" but then forget that she's just going to stick onto you with w. Even if you could just walk away it's still the concept that her kit is just "don't fight her."

If the best advice you have against a champion is "dodge their skillshots, run away when she ults and hope she doesn't kill you anyways" then there's probably a problem with the design.

if she misses her E then you can just jump on her and beat her? you have 0 reason to not be fighting Illaoi pre-6 if she misses E, even after 6 you can just force her to ult and then back up and waste her time.

And on the topic of her ultimate, I know people like to say "just walk out of it" but then forget that she's just going to stick onto you with w.

and out of the range of her tentacles, where she will do very little damage.

illaoi's fine, you're just not fighting her right

It's more that I have to split my dps between her and her tentacles. If i go for the tentas then she engages. If i go on her then she can just fight back. "Walk out of range of the tentacles" might work as soon as she hits 6 during laning phase but late game teamfights is kinda hard to just run away when the rest of her team still exists. So now i have to split my time by killing her tentas and running away from her ultimate, and then, and only then, can i start hitting her.

I'm saying all this from a previous illaoi player: it's too much damage. She's the only champion in the game where "yes PLEASE gank me" is something that goes through your mind post level 3. I understand you're a mastery 7 illaoi and nobody likes their champions getting called op. But the mentality that the best advice you can give against a champion is "run away and dodge everything or you lose half your hp" is rediculous.
