Zoe's big weakness should be her waveclear.

Zoe's waveclear is already nothing to brag about, but for how strong her siege and burst are she needs pretty devastating weakness. Removing the AOE damage paddle star does when it hits would give you more ways to play against to play against Zoe. You would be able to pick Taliyah or Aurelion to shove her in all lane phase and keep her from being able to roam. Also your tank would be able to block paddle star without accidentally damaging the person they were trying to block for.

No, it doesn't exist. Zoe would be the first.

What you propose would make her totally useless as a midlaner tbh.

I actually completely agree with this.

It would keep the lethality of her ability while also making it more manageable to play against.

She would be absolutely useless without some AoE. Mages need waveclear in order to compete with any other mage.

How can you actually say this while Xerath (Who is currently the best mid-laner arguably) has wave clear and just as good poke as Zoe.

Uhh she already has a weakness? She has no escape whatsoever against anyone who jumps on her with mobility spells. Even if you're E is up by the time the sleep kicks in you're dead or close to it.

Even with the AOE nearly every other mid laner can shove her in easily. Not to mention she will be using all of her CDs and mana for CS and have no poke or roam.
