Good community Vs. Bad community

I tolerate the LoL community, but after playing Killing Floor 2, and seeing what a good community is like, the League community bewilders me.

In KF2, after you die, other players can loot your body. There's no alert to you on who has your gear, and players have no obligation to give it back. Yet I've had players ask in chat who owned certain gear, and when that gear was mine, and I wasn't reading the chat--because who would possibly give back one of the best guns in the game--that player just semi-randomly threw that gun at the player they thought could use it best, which was me, and I showered them with accolades. I couldn't even give them a ribbon point, but I'm sure we both felt good.

That's not even an isolated example. The community there, is friendly, and in both games everyone works together as a team to achieve victory. Why in the world are people so often friendly in one game?

Maybe the reason is that, if I get in a game with people I don't get along with, then I'll see how far we get--which won't take all that long, because we're not getting along--then I leave and don't see them again. If I do like the team, then it's incredibly easy to continue playing with that team into the next match.

Maybe that can be done with LoL, too. I'm aware you can invite people from recent games, but what if the post-game lobby simply was the lobby for the next game, and you'll play with that same team unless you leave the room? That way it's much more likely I'll actually play games with players I like, and start developing actual teamwork skills with them. Actually gaining trust with someone, over several games, instead of seeing them in one match and that's it.

I know there are some tools that sort of do that in LoL, but I feel streamlining getting the same players into the same games, could help the community. Yes, that might throw off "matchmaking balance," but lets be honest here: matchmaking is not currently some glorious system right now, and shaking things up could be really good for the game!

I think it might also be that the community is a lot smaller.

However, I think your core idea has some merit. Like, if you flag someone with a ribbon for being helpful/friendly it notes that and tries to rematch you with that person in the future. The friends list add/chat is mostly used by bots to spam people, it would be nice to have the Match Making system be smarter. As long as it takes into account your MMR and doesn't put you in with people who aren't even close to your skill level.
