Graves bullets should miss if the target is out of range

Its a shotgun. Shotguns have low range. If someone dashes away it should expend the ammo and miss so he actually has some counterplay.

I don't know about that lol. I'd think he'd be completely useless unless you massively compensate his tankiness so he can survive at close range to do damage with AA.

yeah but even with that if you were to make his bullet miss whenever the target is out of range he will never be played ever again.

So he actually has counterplay? Autoattacks by design are just targeted damage. They can't miss once they're started, unless you cancel before the active frames. It's been changed several times over the years, but this is probably their most consistent design. With Graves having a different autoattack that spreads his damage out, it's already more difficult to land the full damage of an autoattack and less effective than the guaranteed damage of all other ADCs. I think being out of his most effective range and taking the bare minimum of damage from his autos is counterplay enough.

Although, I really wouldn't mind if Riot took a cue from Bloodline Champions and made everything a skillshot. I'm sick of targeted abilities and guaranteed damage in general.

well his are more of a skill shot they don't go through units. so it makes sense to make them have a range right? I mean his autos do too much damage even after the nerfs at point black range. hes too damn annoying for melees. as a fed zed today I landed my ult a full combo. he survived because of the stat boosts he had. he had 2 items i had 2. you know what he did? he autoed me 4 times and did 1100 damage with 4 autos with 2 items. just fantastic balance.

They have a fixed range, and stop at the first target they hit. Even in the tooltip for the passive it says they aren't guaranteed hits.
