Because most people don't play against him correctly.

Riot is slow to change anything about him. Just make sure he's banned and enjoy the game.

Yasuo, like riven, is just a champion that is very punishing to players for their mistakes. This is assuming the yasuo has an eye for the mistakes being made, but if you MAKE alot of mistakes in lane it can feel like he's a stupidly strong laner. There are actually very few matchups that yasuo has an outright advantage in. Learn to play lane phases better and you'll lose your fear of vs'ing yasuos pretty quick. I would much rather vs a yas where there's counter play to everything he has, than I would go up against an annie, syndra... you get the picture.

He's a squishy melee champ without an escape. There's really a limit to how weak a champ like that can be early game. As soon as he's not a threat to dash on top of you, he's relegated to farming with q's.
