Which champions do you think could replace marksmen Bot Lane once midseason hits?

I wanted to make this thread before anything was put on the PBE it could be 100% speculation. No salt or anything, just guesses. Ziggs is a pretty obvious one, he worked for a bit last season and he might still work right now. Other Mages I think could show up are

Azir Kayle are sort of obvious as well due to their kits being based around attack speed. Azir might not be as good as he would have been due to range nerfs.

Veigar's hyper scaling means he'll probably see some play at the beginning. You'll have more people to stack your passive on and potentially kill and a support to help keep you safe and farm. Sounds pretty good on paper to me.

Lux Morgana is probably going to be a thing. I would be shocked if it isn't. I bunched them together because I don't really see one of them replacing the marksmen unless they're together.

I've played against Cassiopeia bot and lost to it. I could see this working if you're any good at her.

I don't think many melee champions have a chance to work in bot lane, but I could see Yasuo Gangplank. GP could work for a few of the same reasons Veigar might. You'd have a support to help keep you safe and you hyper scale. You could farm with Q to get around some of the melee vs ranged disadvantage, and with your W you could play farther up against champions like Morgana or Thresh. You would also be able to effect other lanes without losing CS with your ult. And for Yasuo, windwall. Need I say more?

You'd want a champion who scales harder with gold than by level, assuming bot lane is still a duo lane.

You also need your team to maintain the ability to apply DPS to shred tanks.

These are two important facets of marksmen. Also part of the reason Jhin's not so good when the meta features tanks, since he's probably the worst marksman at fighting tanks.

This is something you can get from other positions, as well - Juggernauts and Skirmishers can do a good job at shredding a frontline, especially if they can use Conqueror.

This is the crux of the matter. And it is also why I don't see the midseason changes resulting in a long-term opening up of botlane - I think that there'd need to be champion-specific changes to enable non-Marksmen in the bot lane in a healthy game state.

nothing needs to "replace marksmen" bot..

marksmen are supposed to be bot.. they just arn't supposed to rule the entire game after one-2 completed items

Technically yes, but no. Every lane has at least two potential champ classes in it, with the occasional flavor of the month/oddpick champions.

Toplaners: Fighters, Juggernauts, Tanks Jungle: Divers, Assassins, Tanks. Midlane: Mages, Assassins Support: Mages, Enchanters, Tanks. ADCs; Marksmen.

Looking at that; there IS an opening for more botlane diversity.

The fact that there are ADCs in EVERY GAME also skews balance of the game enormously because they can't ever be far from 50% winrate when looking at the overall, in-between classes balance data, since there's always one on both sides.

I expect people to find, at least at midseason launch, that either champs that are buffed to rivalize ADCs will suddenly dominate everywhere, or that they'll be putting out harsh nerfs to the marksman class as a whole to bring it back in line.

item 3115 Casters. The primary goal of botlane is objective taking, especially towers, so Nashor's users fit the bill.

DPS type mages like Ryze, Karthus and Cassiopeia maybe.

I've been having some really good success with Zilean.

He's astoundingly potent late game and has rapid-fire CC to make game-changing plays, nevermind his ultimate. He does need some good DPS style bruisers to help him carry though.

I'd be interested in playing Bard support with a Syndra or Yasuo. In fact I played one with a Yasuo in norms a while back and it seemed like the synergy was solid. Combo potential plus Q/Ultimate to recover if he overcommits.
