As a both a Pre and Post Rework Malzahar main, I don't want a revert, I want a VGU.

Malzahar's rework put too much focus on the Voidlings when we only wanted them to feel like they mattered and gave us a passive that eats up too much of his power budget. Old Malzahar was binary as fuck in lane, had a useless passive, really wasn't that fun to play unless you were fucking up a Zed or Yasuo, and he stopped being effective after reaching gold because people learned what a QSS was and would start buying it sometimes. Neither version of Malzahar was healthy, Neither version is fun to play against. And I believe that can be changed. I want a Gangplank level VGU. Keep his Q, keep his E, maybe give his ult the Warwick treatment but give back it's flat damage for the love of god. Give him a new Passive that isn't useless and doesn't eat up power from the rest of his kit, give him a new W that isn't awful unless you ult and doesn't make him uninteractive as fuck. I want my Void Prophet to be THE mage you pick when you want to lockdown an enemy while commanding his army. Not this damn failed rework that made him AP Yorick, not a binary champion who had useless soldiers and a boring kit. Malzahar deserves the same kind of update Gangplank got, maybe even with a Void version of the burning tides event.
