I'm Chinese. I'm also an American who has been to mainland China. A chinese company owns a majority share in Riot Games. One of the biggest markets is also in China. LoL is an international game.
However, what people don't know about china, is that internet use is restricted. Anything remotely sexualized, politically attacking the government, or not fit for public eyes, is blocked by the Great Firewall of China. Last I heard, teenagers are only given a certain amount of game hours a day. China has their own servers which can only be accessed with a real Chinese ID, that only Chinese citizens have.
Chinese citizens are not allowed to play on any other region. Americans cannot join the China servers without an ID.
Google does not exist, only the Hong Kong version(which no one uses BTW). It's a completely different world. Of course Riot has a choice. **Get attacked by the Chinese government for oversexualizing their game characters and losing their market there, or satisfy young teenage men in the United States by doing what their little sick minds want. **
Honestly WHO CARES about a little artwork change
