@Riot Why are u trying so damn hard to shove tanks down our throats?

I mean title is self explanatory.

Noone enjoys playing tanks unless they are broken. They are low skill, boring kits, boring playstyle, they can't carry games on their own and the most important: THEY ARE BOOOOORING to play.

Yet you desperately try your hardest to make tanks work in soloQ and my question is, why? Why are u doing this?

Noone likes fighting these death machines that CC you for eternity while killing you due to ridiculous base dmg. Noone likes being unable to move their character because the tank player hit two buttons. Noone likes three tanks running you down like the animals they are through five turrets until you are finally out of options and die.

Yet now AGAIN you try to shove tanks down our throats and how you do this? Reduce a bit of tankyness and CC and just give them either massive retardedly high dmg (hello seju) or just free stats for everyone cuz fuck it (hey ornn). How do you think this is going to work out? And what baffles my mind the most is the following: You keep creating or reworking champs perfectly fitting for 5v5 coordinated scenarios and then you nerf them to the ground cuz shockingly the champ designed to be good in coordinated 5v5 teams is good at doing EXACTLY THAT. So either remove tanks from the game or just accept that they are very good in a coordinated setting and let people enjoy soloQ without ruining our fun because for whatever reason you have this boner that soloQ NEEDS tanks to be played. Just let the playerbase decide what THEY want to play and HOW they want to play it.

All that is going to happen again is that everyone just plays tanks, is unkillable while ccing everyone crowding out a ton of other champions for no reason other than riot wanting to see tanks be played. Maybe you should start actually creating interesting items that do more than "get a bit tankier against AD" or "get a bit tankier against AP" or "get a lot more tankier". Maybe you just need to create more interesting and fun kits? Like zac was a tank that was actually fun to play and always had a good pickrate. Or old maokai, i enjoyed him and especially his ult was so clutch to use but nope muuuh pro plaaaayyyyy. Then you rework these champs and have to gut them again because of pro play because you reworked them in a way that ultimately makes them too good for a coordinated setting. Shocker i know.

And now it seems like you try to make them into better bruisers? Or what is your plan behind it? Is there a plan? Or are u just taking a huge dump and throw it at ornn and seju and see if it sticks?

Why is it people keep saying no one likes to play tanks when we have at least a few people (myself included) on these boards who have made a point to say that we do like playing tanks?

I understand that you and a lot of people don’t. But please stop assuming that actual tank mains are just bruiser mains in disguise. We like our tanks, we play them even when they are weak because we enjoy being the team wall and starting fights or peeling for our carries.

I have a large issue with this.

I absolutely love tanks. They are my all time favorite type of class in any game I play.

To say they are low skill, boring kits, and boring playstyle makes it look like you don’t often play one these days. Tanks require different skills because they cannot carry. They need the shotcalling and leadership to be able to get their team to follow up. They need to know when the right time to engage a fight, or when is best to use their CDs to disengage. A mistake from a tank could mean the death of their carries, or a poor engage leaves them alone in the middle of the enemy team to be slaughtered, and the rest of their team potenially tank-less.

Now, I don’t agree with what they have done and are doing with Ornn, love the guy, and he had one of the tougher learning curves among tanks. I disagree with this idea that tanks need to be strong in solo queue and weaking in coordinated, because, by nature, tanks needs allies, in every type of game. But to say no one enjoys tanks, and that they are low skill champs, is false.

First and foremost: I love playing tanks. They're my ideal class. That said I often times have to settle for tanky fighters / bruiser carries, because they usually dumpster pure tanks and are more capable of carrying in solo que. Either way, I love being the big beefy front line.

With that said.. These forums have spent the past 6 months non-stop bitching and moaning about damage, assassins & adcs being rampant, ect.

Now we're going to preemptively complain about tanks? Tanks counter damage; you either get bursty high damage metas, or slower metas where tanks set the fight pace and take actual effort to kill.
