Losing a game in ranked - Slight alternative to LP loss

When I lose a game where I performed poorly, I always feel like I deserve to lose and I feel bad for my teammates. When I lose a game where I performed really well, I always feel like it's unfair to lose that much LP.

What if, supposedly, the amount of LP lost was sligtly affected by the grading system. For exemple, what if it went a little like this: LP loss increase and decrease based on rank (S, A, B etc...) from the grading system received after the game (based on the LP loss the player would of normally received):

Best rank : -25% LP loss 2nd best rank : -10% LP loss 3rd best rank : no change 4th best rank : +10% LP loss 5th best rank : +25% LP loss

I feel like it would encourage people to try their hardest, further punish int. feeders and trolls (over b5) and make every game's LP change a little more accurate to the actual player, while still keeping this a team game by still losing LP when you lose a game.

Is the grading system good enough to put something like this on it, or is it too unreliable or unfair for some roles (harder to get a good rank in some roles)? Thoughts?

To be honest, if they did get the worst rank they shouldn't be punished more. If they were int feeding or trolling , they need to be reported first. Let's say you were really really on tilt. You make super questionable decisions because of tilt. You have superb skill but tilt locked it away. That doesn't mean you're bad. It means you need a break. By publishing them more, that just fuels the tilt more. Basically the extra punishment only works if they get reported.

I put the extra punishement to compensate for the reduction of LP loss so it doesn't mess up the ladder. And fair enough, although I believe you shouldn't be playing rank if you're on tilt in the first place. Bad for you and your teammates.

oh yeah so if you get completely stomped by the team you just pretty much lose even more LP! sorry but what? this is a TEAM game, you win and lose as a TEAM! this will just make whoever is doing 'good to ok' not even try anymore if their team is losing since they don't want to die and risk getting a lower rank as a result. If you are punishing people for actually trying to turn the game around then why even bother to try at all?

Once again, this will just lead to people giving up the instant they start losing if they aren't doing terribly, will just make people flame even more since now you have yet another thing to worry about when you lose. It will make you feel even worst when you lose a match that was a stomp. Hell it will make you feel even worst when you have a simple bad game and lose the match. All the grading system does is tell you how good you did with said champion when compared to other people playing that said champion on that role. It doesn't really tell you how well you did with your team or anything beyond "you did this good/bad compared to other people playing this champ"

I think this is out of proportion: it's simply a little bit less and a little bit more LP to make your climbing more accurate. I don't know anyone in the right mind who would stop playing a game they can win just to save like 4 LP. Besides, people giving up as in going afk or not cooperating with the team is reportable. I think it's comparable to when people were scared about the new champ select, that people would pick support for shorter queue times and then go whatever lane they want, which seems like a problem in theory, but isn't really in practice (I for myself have never witnessed this yet in my games).

And in my opinion, if you're the player feeding a lot of kills early game and then your team loses in the end, then yes, you should feel ''worse'' so you can reflect on what you did wrong and think about how you can improve.

Anyways, you are raising considerable issues with this indeed, but to not try it out because of fear of what might happen is not the way to go. And I don't see this going against league being a team game since you'll still lose and win LP as a team; it's simply distributing the LP losses a tiny more accurately according skill level (if the grading system would be good enough for it).
