I almost have 6300 IP,how is thresh?

So I haven't made a legitimate champion purchase in a while (With IP anyway.) got Mordekaiser cause I wanted to see why he was bad (he just doesn't click...no hard CC or slows so cant really do top and being melee he isn't very good bottom without a blitzcrank) Then I got Skarner cause he looked good. (apparently he is still good cause I saw a skarner in a recent game destroy. so maybe him being bad is just me....or the fact I was Zilean with max CDR 99% speed boosting him all game. prolly still bad xD) and everything past that was RP. Jhin Bard Malzahar ect. and I don't plan to spend more money on the game so I want to know if thresh is good! Seems very fitting when your friend always goes all in.

Coolest champ ever, very rewarding to master and so much fun to play.Oh well I might be biased.

Thresh is an amazing support nowadays, but the sad thing about him atm is he is outclassed by the ridiculous power of the mage supports. Eventually the mage supports will be nerfed to a state where they are actually balanced and legit supports will become universally viable again.

In the end thresh is an amazing champion that rewards mastery of him, but has no where near the power of the mage supports currently.

(I DO recommend buying him)

Once mages are out of bot lane Thresh will be the king once again Thresh

Zyra is already gone(At least in my ELO,haven't seen her since the nerfs)

I only struggle against Janna and I really don't have fun playing against her.I don't get it how someone can play her and have fun at the same time.

Janna is fun to play, try her

As everyone else has stated, Thresh is badass. He is the king of support playmakers, however, there is a caveat to this. You must have teammates who are aware of his playmaking potential. There's nothing more frustrating than landing a hook, tossing a lantern under the junglers feet, then having him run from it like Zilean just lobbed a bomb in his direction.

But if you have situationally aware teammates, he's a boss. Something sweet about a flash flay then a hook into the box that seals pretty much any enemy's fate.

Thresh is the epitome of what you call a generalist support. He fits in any team comp, with any lane, against almost any enemies. If you need someone tank, thresh works decently well. If you want to be aggro as shit, Thresh. If you need someone who can get you safely through laning, Thresh again. Peel in teamfights? Yeah, got that too. CC for days? Hell yes.

The only think about Thresh is that he is actually considered range. So if you get him, you have to be prepared to either A. Buy Ancient Coin or B. Learn how to actually last hit with Relic. He does not, I repeat, DOES NOT get the execution on minions with relic. So you have to actually last hit the minions. And if you fuck it up a few times in lane, its likely your ADC will get very fidgety and nervous about letting you try again. I can't tell you how many threshes I've had that either didn't know or didn't have it down pat.

That said, Ancient Coin is actually not bad on him; a lot of the best threshes actually will rush mobi boots anyway because it makes getting on top of the enemy AD for a surprise flay really easy.

I do suggest him highly as a champion you should get but I also suggest that you be prepared to be met with a pretty steep learning curve. Thresh is an excellent support but he's actually fairly difficult mechanically. Very good and rewarding to play though when you get the hang of him. :)

If you want advice on Skarner, I'd be happy to help out. :P He's broken if you play him right.

As for Thresh, he's fun at first but gets kind of boring. He's one of the most broken supports in the game though, so there's that. Building him full AD and literally one shotting carries is fun though.

I...can't say much on the skarner subject. his passive feels too, well. passive. and I cant do a thing with the recommended build. I tried item 1418 (one of them...) but didn't go far. looked up some builds but it doesn't click...

item 1401 item 3748 item 3078 item 3742 item 3102 + Tabi or Merc Treads depending on their team.

Take Courage, kind of tanky runes. You do a LOT of damage, and are a massive hyper tank.

Well, from what everybody says thresh seems pretty good. and when I play support, thresh has that thing that Bard Zilean and TahmKench have. utility and the ability to mess with others (the other team, not mine. its hilarious seeing a Poppy chase you when slowed by 99%) and still being great for your team in the process xD

Are you at an elo where people know to click the lantern?

Are you willing to put 100+ games in with him in order to get good?

Thresh is the best support in the game once mastered. Easily the hardest to play by far as well.
