Lux buff? Why? .-.

Why would need buffs? apart from her little shield thing she is kinda something that in several cases unless you go out of your way to get a or which can harm end game builds is useful for AD though...is kinda op. well,past that I heard her ult is getting buffed. y'know? the short cooldown ult that does like 1200 damage to ADC/supports/junglers/most mid laners not to mention the piercing snare,so her ult is almost always 1-2 free kills and even then the range is from one turret to another. almost every lux I see generally ends with something like 18/1/10 cause if you chase her she can slow then snare. but that's kinda her thing so there isn't much to nerf...but there definitely isn't much to buff! (again. shield,scaling is like 15 per skill point) I am sure riot won see this,but I would like to hear some thoughts on one of the most annoying champs(in my opinion)

So, what you're saying is, her Q can easily hit two squishy targets on the enemy team, and kill both of them with her ult and e? I'm sorry but unless the enemy team is garbage that won't ever happen, the frontline can bodyblock her snare and kill her during the channel of her ult. Also, her ult doesn't do 1200 damage, maybe her full combo could on a squishy, but not her ult alone. In addition, she is much outclassed by many other midlaners; like Cassiopeia or Syndra .

You guys keep talking like the fog of war doesn't exist. If you have played lux, you'd know that the easiest way to set up a kill is from a brush. Buy item 3364 and sweep a brush the enemy team passes. Wait for them and pop off. It's not fcking rocket science. And in teamfights, people are busy trying to peel or dish out damage to notice the lux flanking them. And God forbid the lux has a morgana in her team. gl hf.

To be fair, that's not exclusive to Lux. Nunu could delete your entire team with his ult alone from inside a bush and you'd have 0 time to react. If the enemy walks into an ambush like that it's on them, anyone with damage would delete them. That's why proper vision is so important.

If you get suddenly slowed, I guess you should know what's coming next. And lux won't stand in one brush. She'll stand at the ward that is about to be warded. And then as you come within max range, it's GG. Also the major one is teamfights when everyone is grouped. Good luck dodging that.

Again, how is that different to anyone else? You could walk into the Nunu ult in the last tick and take all the damage the instant you get slowed. You never know if the Veigar is sitting in that exact bush waiting to press Q and R on you before you can even see him. That's the dangers of facechecking when you're a squishy.

And that's besides the point. If the enemy team keeps walking into unwarded bushes where Lux happens to sit every 30 seconds they deserve to lose, they're playing terribly. Get a blue trinket and ward ahead of yourself, send in the tanks first, etc.

Flanking from behind as Lux is extremely risky, unless you're there to clean up they could easily turn on you.

I don't give a shit about Lux because I don't play her and never will, but the fact that this board is asking this question is just sad.

Here are the only 2 reasons Lux is being buffed and they will always be the only reasons.

She sells skins like Ahri
She's complete ass, totally outclassed for seasons now by other mages that can actually do things vs bruisers/tanks and still one shot squishies, some of them w/o even having to land a slow as fuck skillshot in a meta with 200 forms of shielding/healing

Riot is being given an actual legitimate excuse to buff one of their skin sellers, cause she's ass, when they usually have to spend a day or two coming up with some asinine excuse that fools nobody (like with Lee or Ahri) and you're asking why they're not going to jump at the chance.

Holy shit these threads about lux are starting to make me so frusterated. Probably been at least 5 high upvote posts where a bunch of low elos all think she is going to be insanely broken. And if you say something else insta downvoted. Ok, first of if you manage to walk into a bush with a enemy lux in late/mid game ofc you will die the same can be said about all carry midlaners in the game. This buff wont even make lux close to being a top 5 midlaner since she doesnt have nearly as much dps as cass, guaranteed kill with syndra, waveclear and mobility of ahri etc. Lux is just in a very bad spot atm and is imo one of the weakest midlaners (in high elo).

Meanwhile as riot buffs champions that overall in almost every rank besides the ones that are just 'pick the most OP thing,ban the rest and rank up' are viable Skarner Mordekaiser RekSai exists after failed reworks or being nerfed into the ground. and I think I can prove my point a bit if you watch a few LCS games where champs like Lulu are always picked

well i came at the right time. currently they are on the PBE if my memory is correct. so there may be planned buffs. i think one was if lux has her ult kill something the cooldown is reduced?

well honestly in practice this wouldn't really change that much i think, sue she might be able to use it twice in a teamfight now like she would be able to do back in the day. I can see that this would be a buff where lux would get a nice combo out on a squishie target and burst it down cause it was out of position and then later have it in the near team fight situation. But other then that it probably wont change that much.

As I said in other threads:

Artillery mages being buffed is overall a good thing because they've been suffering lately.
This Lux buff though has gone the wrong direction, Riot is making her more frustrating spell to deal with spam-worthy.
Xerath is now the only Artillery mage without a purpose, Lux R is now a better version of his Q.

the only buff i would give lux is for her to be able to control how far out her shield goes before it comes back. that would allow more skill into stacking the two shields

This is pretty stupid if it goes through. Lux is played mostly as support and her ult already gets to around 30 secs at max cooldown. Nothing like getting back into lane, getting snared and ulted, dying, and repeating. They can give it a cooldown based on kills but they need to give it a good 30 second base increase to compensate.
