Why am i playing against level 30s when i'm level 5? I'd understand if i was like 18+ but i'm level 5, why the fuck am i being matched against smurf lee sins with full masteries and runes when my team is running a 2 1 2 comp with nothing and very low skill...

yeah that's why i was saying i'd get it if i was around level 20 or so, but level 5? seems a bit unnecessary, like there is other people online they could play against, and when i play with low level friends i legit play against 5x level 30s
like...it's fine to play with friends, it's fine to smurf, but if you play with low level players it should put your team at the disadvantage not the enemy team

I know i'm part of the problem when i make a new account, but i also know that after like 2-3 wins i'm placed up against everyone else who's making a new account and is already decent
hell i played against Dyrus on his smurf Retireus when he was leveling it, so i'm not just shitting on new kids, just legit trying to have another account

they lowered the required exp to hit 30 by half...which i think is kind of a horrible idea lol but is favorable for players making smurfs..
just worried about the quality of new players entering ranked with half the experience as before. half the time to get IP for runes...etc

Where's the problem? People have said they have concerns that other people may play ranked and have "insufficient" experience. "Insufficient" as compared to what? People could pick any standard at that standard would still players under-performing compared to another picked standard.
And if a player does decide to play ranked without "enough" experience, there is no problem there; they would play their matches and, dependent on how they perform, will be placed with a rank and match-ups that are representative of their performance in their matches, just like everyone else who plays ranked.

The first thing to be said is that League had a ridiculous requirement to reach Level 30, and consequently ranked play. (And maybe still does, I don't know.) No other game I've played has had anywhere near the kind of requirement for the ranked lock-out, and I know some games aren't restricted. IP for runes, if this is a problem it could be adjusted as well, especially because this is another "sunk time requirement is ridiculous compared to other games" area.

honestly, i say insufficient because Riot sticks them all in bronze 1 to silver 2 despite losing 6-7 games and getting carried through 3 because they don't rate individual performance AT ALL. so they have to lose on average say from silver 3 to get to bronze 5 where they belong, they have to ruin up to 60 games including tanking mmr to demote from s5 to b1 just to get to where they should have started, but since riot's system is completely idiotic and misplaces almost everyone, it forces this hatred of the silver 5 to silver 2 rank where there's no actual skill range, it's just whoever the fuck ends up there after hitting 30 and people climbing, people dropping rapidly, people sitting still, it's a complete mess
if this wasn't the case and new players were put into low bronze where they belong until they learn the game, i wouldn't even have anything to be upset about.

Just for a bit of clarity, your account has been marked with "smurf detection". This essentially allows new players to play in an environment conducive to their level of play while isolating players with a higher level of play such that the chances of their higher level mechanics being put in a game with those new players are lower.
