That was the best Galio ult and dearly missed by me (and others). Why did you have to take that away??

Riot was going for "uniqueness" as far as champion design goes. Galio's old ult was mechanically the same as Nunu's without the ability for victims to escape. Honestly I miss the old Galio. He was fun.

Old Galio was played in less than 1 out of 20 games.

Incidentally, Galio's W is now even more similar to his old ultimate, now that it deals magic damage to taunted enemies.

Not as much damage, mind you, but it's a basic ability that Galio can more reliably use without burning Flash, so I'd still call that a win.
