Nasus Takedowns = Stacks

SlashStriker··2 votes·1,160 views

Its just something that crossed my mind to make Nasus more engaging in teamfights The basic Idea is Every time nasus scores a takedown he gets stacks

In addition to Nasus' Siphoning Strike - NEW Passive: Scoring a takedown on enemy Champion or Epic Monsters will give Nasus X permanent stacks

Siphoning Strike resets Nasus's autoattack timer. This will make teamfights for nasus more appealing Now the idea is not to buff nasus but to shift his power in teamfights or to make Teamfights more beneficial for Nasus. Just having Aura item will give you easy stacks from takedowns. Wither or Spirit Fire is a great way to farm takedowns as well. I am not saying Nasus should stop farming. I am saying that Nasus can farm as much as he likes and gets stronger. Kill minions and monsters he gets stacks. But the idea is that Nasus can ALSO get stronger in Teamfights by scoring TAKEDOWNS on Champions and Epic Monsters

**TAKEDOWN **= ASSIST OR KILL ASSIST is a TAKEDOWN and KILL is a TAKEDOWN as well in this case of what i suggested is TAKEDOWNS only counts on Champions on Epic Monsters

"Nasus is not a team fighter" is the myth of this post. I am a Nasus main and never stay and push top all game. It is a generally useless endeavor unless your team is stupidly ahead and you feel like you can safely create pressure without being killed. Build will greatly influence weather the Nasus plans on split pushing or team fighting. IBG, DMP and ZZ'Rot allow Nasus to be a huge presence in a team fight. True he is not the best as he has no hard engage. But if he has 300-500 stacks and 3 completed Items he is as good as almost any tank and can dish out surprising amounts of damage. I end most games with somewhere between 500-700 stacks. I spend only about 15 -20 minutes in lane to get what I need which is generally IBG, SV and boots then join my team to push towers and take objectives.

My point is that these changes would fundamentally weaken him way too much for what is an arbitrary bump in kill stacks that he will probably never get the kill for. So this would only serve to delay his ability to effect games even longer and thus exclude him from the limited amount of play he already gets. He just doesn't have the kill pressure to make this work and be compensated for the loss of stacks in lane. Unless you are saying he get's stacks regardless of how he kills the target which would then make him God Like OP and erase the counter play of his weak early game entirely.

IMO Building Nasus to team fight is far more beneficial and increases your win potential then trying to split push all game. Standard build should be IBG, SV, Boots, ZZ' Rot then DMP or Steraks next. This build gives you a massive HP and resistance pool and enough extra damage to be a serious threat the enemy team can not ignore in a team fight. I would also advise to use 12/0/18 Mastery or 0/12/18 the extra 5% is generally unnecessary and often doesn't feel as strong as grabbing grasp for taking storm raiders or thunderlords.

Exactly. If you're not taking advantage of Nasus' strong mid/early late game, you're doing it wrong lol.

Not sure what you mean exactly but I assume you mean take advantage of Nasus's large mid game spike to win the game. =)

Though Nasus is still very strong late game as long as your teams are of nearly equal strength and CC. If your team plays better they can get you inside and let you wreck the enemy team while they come in and clean up. I've done this many times in 45 min + games. The thing people forget is that this is a team game and it is not solely up to one champ to decide the game. If you have decent CC and strong team mates Nasus will be relevant late game but if you are the only one fed then sadly those stacks will not amount to much. Like any late game champ your ability to stay relevant is how well your team mates work to keep you in the game so you can do your job.

Yes, I meant mid/ 'early-late' game. Once teams both get full build he does fall off a bit I've noticed.

When I re-read your comment I thought that's what you meant, I read it incorrectly at first.

Your right that he does fall off slightly against very poke heavy team comps. Also if his team fails at following him and trying to punch a hole for him to reach the back line then he is basically useless as he has no hard engage potential.

I think changing his stacking to 2 normal and takedowns to 6 would greatly nerf Nasus. He is pretty easy to kite (hence my he is more midish game than late. once everyone is full build they can kite him), so he doesn't want to teamfight super early.

well takedowns could be 10 or 20 or 5000. The stacks per unit kill could stay or get nerf. Whatever

The primary idea is to make teamfights more appealing to nasus. I don't think he is great splitpusher and in fact he is really slow as many other champion kinda do this job a better.

I can't count how many times i forced nasus to go in teamfights and die in misery not being able to do anything and never go back in lane to face me

That's a bad idea because it is just shoving even more emphasis into stacking which is not only what his gameplay completely revolves around but is also the core problem in his kit, and has created all the others issue which lead him to his state of being an awful performing champion.

All i read is KILLS KILLS KILLS. I dunno why people think that i suggest kills only to for stacks. What i suggested is TAKEDOWNS not KILLS. Meaning on assist you get stacks as well on kill you get stacks despite whatever amount you put on it

People are way too attached to numbers. I got the feeling people always misread my topics

I understand this I clearly stated in my first post that this system would also make him OP if that was your direction. Getting stacks for using spirit fire or last hitting with Q or just killing them from the AOE on his ult would make him super OP as it would work on minions and champions alike. I could amass 100's of stacks this way with little to no counter play or effort of risking myself. I would rush a Sunfire Cape as well as it would clearly guarantee me a stupid amount of stack for doing little more than standing near a wave.

TL: DR- Nasus has plenty of team fight potential in items and decision making. IF your Nasus split pushes all game that is the fault of the player not the champion. This changes would truly do nothing but make him overly oppressive and ruin his core identity. If you don't believe me look at my match history and the positions of where I was killed and made kills. I go anywhere my team needs and most of these games I have 500 minimum stacks if not much more.

against you misunderstood takedowns only counts on champions not on minions. You cant get takedowns on minions only on champions

Scoring a takedown on enemy Champion or Epic Monsters will give Nasus X stacks

i clearly stated is takedowns on champions or epic mosnters. Nowhere is said nasus gets stacks on with firecape on waves on minions. Teamfights aint about minions but its about champions

Your comment says he still gets, undefined, stacks from killing minions and monsters but is not specified on how they are killed to obtain the stacks. The mechanic would have to work the same as the take down mechanic on champion kills and assists I assume or else you risk making it overly convoluted and outright ruin his lane presence entirely. Plus it would have to be given as a passive on his Q which would make it, again, super OP.

So what you are saying is that he get's stacks for helping assist or kill a champion, this would need to be large amount depending on how much he gets for minion and monsters, But he can only get stacks for last hitting with Q on minion and monsters in lane or jungle?

This would almost Mordekaiser him and force him into a duo lane bot or if it allows him to get stacks off minions and monster, regardless of the killing blow being from SS, so mind blowing OP he would have to be deleted from the game.

I am really not trying to be difficult but your changes are geared to erasing his lane presence or completely overpowering it. You didn't clearly specify how normal minions or monsters need to be killed for stacks. So it is natural to assume an aura item like Sunfire or AOE Spirit fire would grab you stacks as well.

if i didnt clearly specify that that means i don't change it

In addition to Nasus' Siphoning Strike - NEW Passive: Scoring a takedown on enemy Champion or Epic Monsters will give Nasus X permanent stacks

Every other element stays the way it is

does anyone else has something better to say because really have no idea how to make it more clear that my suggestion ADDITION to what already exists on Nasus.

I am sorry man i just can't make it more clear than that.

Well first off you could give clear numbers in regards to how much he gets for each type of farm from minions, monsters, epic monsters and champion kills.

Secondly, you could also break down each skill and give more clear and precise ways they contribute to his stacks. Will the kills/assists just add passively to his Q damage or overall damage? Is it like how Viegar and Sion stack? Will spirit fire get stacks on minions and monsters if it kills them before you use SS? Seriously you can not assume people will understand your precise meaning with so little detail given.

Lastly you could more clearly outline your passive idea. Would this be a passive on his Q or would it replace his life steal? Personally if you took away his passive life steal you would need to offer him a large compensation in the stat department or make his cool downs and mana costs significantly lower if there was no major kit rework and his abilities stayed the same.

I am in no way saying your idea is horrible it might be really good I am merely trying to pull more specific details out of you so it reads more like a well thought out thesis as opposed to a general let's do this just because I think it would be better post.

I guess I am really protective of the champion as he was my first bought and has been my main since I started playing. I have a 54% win rating with him and feel he is rather balanced so I am extremely wary of changes to him as I feel they would outright destroy him or buff him to the point Riot would be forced to nerf him into oblivion like my other favorite champ Kass.

Well seeing how you can not take constructive criticism and you are clearly being rude. I will just end this. Maybe you should see all the down votes you've received and take the hint that your idea was not well thought out.

Ain't about the critisism. Dude seriously this discussion is mindless. You say what i suggested is Nasus will farm stacks with spirit fire or firecape on mininos which i never said or that i didn't specify it. this shows you don't know now nasus functions. I am trying to add something to nasus you say i am completely changing Nasus. The entire time am I am feeling that you are trolling me or you don't understand how Nasus functions

I ain't gonna continue to write in this topic anymore cause this is going nowhere.

idk if you know this but im gonna ask anyways with the new runes

one of them say "takedowns restore health and grant bonus gold" does that mean if i kill champion, minion, monster, ward i get bonus gold and restore health?
