Sleeper OP champs

I've been playing a few champions for the fun of it, and wow. I'm really surprised how strong some of these guys are.

Leona top She's no Ekko. But when it comes to champions that deal a lot of burst damage, while still being tanky, Leona was the originator. Seriously, how many times have you accidentally taken the kill from your ADC just because her W did more damage than you thought? Well, take that into a solo lane and now you have a pretty tanky top laner, who is amazing to gank for the jungler and deals a surprisingly high amount of burst damage early game. Just... don't play her into Trundle. You might win early game, but the second he gets his BORK... you'll be amazed how fast your HP drops.

Braum top This is a really.. REALLY funny top laner. You're pretty much the jungler and mid's support. If the jungler comes up top, he'll have the easiest gank he's ever had in his life. Your Q slows for a ton and your passive is like the jungler's wet dream. And you can always roam mid-lane to give a little gank of your own. Also don't forget. Your Q scales off of your HP. So once you buy a Bambi's Cinder, you'll be surprised how much damage your Q will do. Once you have the combination of Sunfire and Iceborn Gauntlet, you'll become reeeeally tanky. During late game, you become a really tanky wall that gives amazing disengage and engage. This also works amazingly for 'protect the ADC' comps.

Full AP Zac Just... just try this build out once. Just once. You will be shocked at how much burst you get. Yes. You're squishy. Really...really...really squishy. And you will fall off during late game. But Early-Mid? Once you have Runic Echoes, everytime you land your E, you can just watch as the poor soul you drop on, melts in seconds, then watch the /all chat flood with signs of pure bewilderment.

I've found Full AP Zac to work best in the jungle, but it can work with top lane as well. Though you should probably max out your Q instead of your E, since chances are, you'll never be able to land the E.

Just know that you ARE squishy. And if you jump into a team of 5 and you have no teammates, 9 times out of 10, you're gonna die.

What other sleeper OP champs have you found? Tell me what you know!

the last time i faced a leona top, i destroyed her to the point that i think one time i could hear her players spirit die aswell.

just. no. her kit is designed around duo laning.

Your point? I could make an argument that I faced a Darius top and I destroyed him where he rage quit.

Does that mean that Darius sucks? No.

That leona probably didn't play to her strengths at all. Or, you picked a champion that hard countered her.

Saying "just no" doesn't prove anything other than your own opinion. :P

except that darius kit generally works in solo lane, since most of his power budget isnt in damage amplification for allies.

if you want to play leona somewhere else than bot, try getting good at jungling her. because her kit is actually really good for a jungler. and during ganks youre working together with 1 or more allies who are able to trigger her passive.

shes still gonna be a nieche pick since her clear speed is really slow, but if you manage to pull her off, she can have a lot of impact on her lanes.

All I wanted was genuine reason why. And you just gave that. Thank you :D

With all due respect, that does mean that the Darius sucked, pretty hard. Darius losing to a melee champion with no escapes in laning phase without jungler's influence should never happen. And that champion being Leona, which can't proc her own passive for damage purposes? Nah, he couldn't be good. Darius whole kit is about zoning out and outtrading/outlasting melee champions and scaring them off with the 5 blood stacks menace. If he doesn't at least win the CS battle, he's not a good Darius. Like, honestly.

About the champions I play though, I like Yi top. Not sure if that's considered out of meta or not, but I have quite a success with it, it's surprisingly good once you know exactly your powerspikes and when you can trade your opponent, what spells you should get (getting 2 points in meditate level 3-4 works surprisingly well).

True. Her passive relies on an ally, her CC is useless without more damage... Unless your playing leona in urf, its not a good idea

Karma top. 20% CDR from Runes Thunderlords. Rush Either Iceborn or Athenes or Morello. then go full tank

Why Iceborn?

xBushx1 votes

I go Iceborn into ALL AD matchups. You can't be caught and you hit with autos for her passive.

It's straight broken on her when you have 33-37% CDR when you buy it first until the rest of your cdr scales.

Karma CANNOT be killed 1v1. After you have 35+ CDR and some armor.

AD Bruiser Katarina with Thunderlords, may not be OP but funny as hell

Strategy- Her q procs on hit effects, allowing you to abuse the lich bane and nashors. You COULD swap out abyssal for wits end, for the MR shred. This build is made around bursting down a target quickly your ult, a lichbane from your Q to initiate, W'ing to block damage, E'ing for another proc, dashing again for another vital and 2 stacks to guinsoo, and basically trolling tons

Kayle Top and Jungle. Stupidly broken from mid to late game and the general population doesn't know this.

I love full AP Zac, too. But I usually play him in the midlane. His laning phase is hell there, but I counteract some of his squishyness by being able to avoid ganks by Eing to my turret no matter where i am in lane. His trades are actually pretty decent if you can pick up your bloblets and he has great waveclear.

I like buying a Titanic Hydra on Braum top. With the damage reduction from his E and the stun from his passive he's a pretty effective duelist.

Vi is better in this meta than the population of this game gives credit for

yeah because you can easily lockdown the carry if your team can follow up

Assassin Sion Its a thing i used to do

havent done it in aloooooooooooong time tho

You get sated, or next patch bloodrazor i guess and then you grab botrk then build speed items like righteous glory and youmous

and you round out with a tanky item of your choice, something with a pile of hp at least.

You ult in focus their carries amd force them in a catch 22 if they kill you one of their carries dies too becasue you just 2 shot them with the passive. if they dont kill you then you can still kill their carry, so they have no choice but to waste cc and damage on you only to have you respawn and kill their carry in 1,5 seconds flat.

works well with an extra diving fighter and another tanky champ

Its hilarious af

panic is guaranteed

urgot is really amazing. his win rate is distorted because people play him a few games, and then drop him, but his win rate by people who play him consistently hovers around 60%. I've had a pretty consistent 80% win rate as him myself.

his passive straight up reduces damage from the people he hits by 15%.

his e is a burn over time that also shreds armor by 12-20%, and it's physical damage so black cleaver can get fully stacked off just e on top of the armor shred inherent in the ability. plus it makes his q shots become point and click rather than skillshots

he has a decent shield with a persistent slow effect that makes him really good at kiting. it also scales with his mana so its a bit of a 1 point wonder.

his q just wrecks people, especially if you have an armor pen rune page. it procs muramana, procs deathfire touch, can be spammed for sheen effects, and scales really well with AD.

his ult is very situationally useful. you have to know when to use it, and why you want to use it. it gives 30-50% damage reduction, stops someone, and then switches you with them. you're not gonna find a use for it in every fight, but in the right situation it does great things. also good in 1v1s just on damage reduction alone.

i tried all of them long ago and in ranked none of them would be a viable option (if the enemies are decently skilled players)
