Should Riot remove Rod of Ages because it crowds into Hextech GLP's space?

No one buys RoA anymore because GLP's active makes it far more worthwhile compared to the extra stats you get from Rod of Ages. The two fill similar stat niches, and any attempt to buff Rod of Ages is just gonna result in power creep.

As such, would it be better if RoA was just removed from the game and more effort was concentrated into GLP?

No, because the two items have different purposes.

One (GLP) is for immediate power and the slowing active, while the other (RoA) is for longer-term, scaling power.

However, currently both are inferior to Morellonomicon.
