Does poppy need a mini-rework aimed at her pro-level issues?
I was watching the world championships the other day and I noticed the casters were talking about how Poppy is a thing at the pro level mostly because she hides the weaknesses of a top laner really well. All he has to do is build a little tank with her and protect the team and that's that. She's got a lot of utility and it's not a problem if she loses lane (it's expected).
I feel like that's a problem. She was reworked so she could see pro play but that left her in a state where she's kind meh at best for solo queue. I'm looking at champion.gg right now and she's got a crap-ton of bad matchups. She falls off after 30 minutes. Then you've got her role in the pro level which is basically lose lane and be annoying in teamfights.
I wouldn't call her terrible from a numbers perspective, but I feel like she's got some underlying issues right now that the balance team is doing an okay job of hiding.
Top/Mid where she does alright in lane and then just sits on her ADC and protects them during team fights.
is not something to take lightly and does not exactly fall off. All you need is
and then build tank and you will deal enough damage in the late game to even take on a fed carry in the late game. I don't think she needs anything done to her, though maybe I'm bias because she is my main top laner (next to
as well).
