The Reason The Elo Underworld Exists For Low Players, But Not For High Ones Playing At The Same Elo

This isn't another OMG MY TEAM FEEDS GG I LOST BRONZE SUCKS post. This is logical reasoning why people get stuck in the first place. Maybe a troll or afk will ruin a few of your games, but thats besides the point. I learned a lot of what I know today from others. Imagine you have 5 of yourself and your vsing 5 of this person you cant beat. You aren't going to win because you simply don't know how. If all bronze 5 players do not know how to counter (put x champion here) How are they going to climb unless they are banned or are forced to learn the champion? Lets say , in theory, (this would never happen) Taric is op. No one knows how to get his targetable stun not to one shot them. Taric (probably same amount of skill the other players have) Is now going to climb the elo ladder. He climbs from B5 to B2 and now taric is banned every game. Having a B5 mindset, he is going to keep playing games. He decides to play the extremely under powered mundo. With his incredibly low hp regen and damage, he does not know how to survive without one shotting. His B2 team is now going to flame him for his lack of skill, potentially causing a loss. This Taric Main is now stuck between 2 ranks where he is banned and where he isn't as often. Taric is winning then losing then wining then losing. He is stuck, and at the same time, slightly hurting someones chances of climbing.

The idea that feeders/trolls/afks cause people to lose is all lies. They lose because A. Vsing someone they have lack of knowledge to beat (aka blaming the most deaths for being a feeder, as one shot taric mid was reking him) B. Someone is trying something new and is called a troll C.The slim chance someone loses internet and is called an a-fking idiot. (get it afking but a fking)

The only valid point is people like the made up situation of taric b5 - b2. Even that only slightly effects your elo placement.

A high player playing at the same elo say they have no problem getting out of bronze. Why? They know how to counter Taric one shot stuns (awesome example). The few games Taric would of lost is those who should be climbing the ladder. They had the knowledge of knowing how to counter his one shot stuns.

When I go ranked I duo queue with one of my friends. If there is a large enough elo gap, it provides several advantages.

  1. Your duo is put with lower elo, making the game easy for him/her to carry.
  2. You are put with more skillful players, who could provide tips to improve your gameplay.
  3. Even if you do not have the knowledge of countering one shot taric stuns, if your team does, you might still be ok.

You may say Duo queuing is just as bad as getting boosted by one shotting taric because they do not belong in the elo they are playing at. There is one key difference between the two. What the game thinks your elo is, and what it is. The one shotting taric is viewed to have their elo increasing. In reality, they gained no skill whatsoever. The team he is on now has a disadvantage. In duo queuing, you are a disadvantage to the team, but your friend is a greater advantage as they are more likely to save a game.

If there was only a way for experience league of legends players (Meaning you understand how the game works, B5 could be experienced) To learn. They have Intro for mega noobs, beginner for noobs, and intermediate for those around lvl 25. After lvl 30, your skill growth slows due to the lack of teaching. I am probably 5% better than I was 3 months ago, but from when I started the game to 3 months later I had gotten around 400% BETTer (4 times) than I had been. It is a hard game to learn.

I am going to make a poll. You will vote (honestly) by how you lost your most recent game. Was it A. Someones above their elo (If you put this, prove it in the comments) B. Lack of knowledge (like srsly, any tips on how to fight 1 shoting taric?) C. Your champion your so good at is constantly banned for no reason and your losing alot. D. Someone openly admitted feeding (Proof copy chatlogs from game)

If you see any flaws in my logic or misinterpretation of how the elo system works, Feel free to comment so I can fix it.

(All the champion references were jokes)
