Since when is the game over if 2 people lose laning phase?

If those 2 people losing lane are your support and ADC, then uh....yeah, gg.
it's kinda gg too if mid and top lose and feed because ADC and support will just get rekt.
Totally depends on the ADC and support, your jungle, the enemy comp, how long they take to lose, how badly they lose, how heavily bot won, which mid and top you have, vision control, the price of tea in China, how many dragons you could get off of that winning bot lane, whether or not they snagged Herald, builds, morale, individual temperaments, overall team synergy/level of teamwork, whether or not the enemy team gets tilted/cocky, positioning, individual talents of all involved, and then also a lot of of factors that cannot be accounted for (thus basically random) if you're below Diamond 3 or so.
nice joke
Can 100% say that this is bs. Last game as Jayce I went 5/7/12. My mid laner died to zed 4 times in 13 minutes, I died to Shen, Nocturne, and Zed 6 times in 17 minutes, and Poppy died to Nocturne shen and zed 3 times in 11 minutes. The only reason we won was because our bot lane won lane and was able to carry the game.
You can win top and mid, but if your bot lane loses its pretty much game. Cant stop an adc that crit 600 damage with one auto and gets tons of peel from team.
Depends on who your top and mid lost TO. If they lost to a burst or DPS mage, or a tank, that's recoverable. If they lost heavily to an assassin or diver? That's GG, since now the natural counter to an ADC is actually fed enough to do his job.
Divers natural counter to adc heheheheehehe. Nice joke.
shhhh that doesn't conform to the boards intense bias
it isnt over until the nexus is destroyed
it isnt over until the nexus is destroyed
thats not what the majority of my teams seem to think.
to be honest, the game has tooo much snowball atm. I know im not the only one that finds hoping for an enemy throw to be boring. It sucks too, i wish i could say if we play our cards right we can have a comeback but in reality there's not such thing as strategic comebacks in league any more. Only throws, and most of the time they don't happen. You end up waiting your ass for another extra 15 mins farming for nothing to just lose anyways and get steam-rolled hoping they make a mistake.
They will make mistakes. The question is: will you notice them? Can you predict them? Can you place yourself so that you can exploit them when they do occur? That's where you can get better at coming back.

This works on paper but let's think of the advantage they have, if they push you to your base they have nearly all the map control, access to all the creep objectives and advantage at ambush. You also are in disadvantage on location as they know where you are but you don't know were they are, and you have to make calls. Are they doing baron? or waiting somewhere to trap you? or just waiting for you to leave base to push a lane hard. What could they be doing? anything. What could you be doing? moving slow to not get caught. There's more points at wish they can beat you, and if the game started fair and they took on an advantage there's a good chance they have better teamwork or more skilled players than your team does. Of-course they can make mistakes but they would still hold advantage, would those mistakes be enough? It's down to it's a much bigger chance of you wasting your time than hoping for mistakes. Unless there's something to win in it like a tournament or money, if it's just LP you should play another match if it went rough. Anyone i know that advances in ranks is like this, they notice things to wrong and push for surrender and move on to the next match. They do their best by playing through matches quicker and advance through the ranks better. Their ultimate goal is to be efficient in climbing the ladder, and seeing it through the season this works. Leaving things to depend on time and chance on 1 match < Being an efficient climber and getting through as many matches as possible with less time, of-course the ultimate aim is to win so play the cards right early game. In the end it seems wrong, like you're just grinding matches. That's exactly how Riot's ranking system feels like.
TL;DR you can Win or lose your delayed 35 - 50 min game if it lasts that long, or try to be efficient and play 2 - 3 matches in that time which of-course would be win or lose those 2 - 3 matches. The choices is up to you. But all successful climbers i've met are game time efficient rather than try your hardest to just win one round that will just tired you out/stress you out/ burn you out.
Mhm. What you're describing is actually why, despite wanting to climb the ladder (repeatedly, over the seasons), I can't ever make myself actually work on it. As the system stands, it's about win quantity, not win ratio. If I could force myself to, I could assign x hours a day to climbing in League, grind it out, and I'd probably make it to g5 by the end of the season (probably not above that, though the extra practice could improve my mechanics and such enough that I'd go above that). The thing is, though... I don't enjoy that. I'd have to literally force myself to do it. It'd be work. Being ranked higher just isn't enough of an incentive for me to throw away winnable games and otherwise abandon potential enjoyment.
TL;DR: The system is awful. When there's still hope in a game, I refuse to throw that away for some yucky grinding.
This is why i don't play rank myself. The goal is different, not to have fun but to climb. But at the same time i understand it, people want to climb and don't have the whole day to do it. Only a few hours a week so they do their best to be efficient with it. My brother is trying to climb the "right way " too by going through his matches. After 2 months of seeing him try he is still in silver because he goes desperately for that victory even if it lasts 40 to 50 mins. Some times he loses, some times he wins but at the end it tires him out and when that happens that's the only game he plays that day. So if you have to make a choice, grind having fun and take your time but risk not making it, or sacrifice that fun to just make it to your goal rank then have fun doing whatever. I personally just don't play rank much, i'm all about the fun.
well, i tend to give up when enemy team has baron and has 1+ inhibs. I think that's reasonable, especially since baroned up super minions are difficult to deal with.
If you add more inhibs + elder to that, well, ... I don't think anyone, even SKT, has a chance of winning that.
Up until the top ~5% or so of players, the enemy team is also not SKT, so they will make major mistakes. SKT could totally win that situation if their enemy was bad enough, as could any super-high level team that worked together properly. So much of this game is about who makes the most mistakes. At low-mid elo (especially low elo), there's always hope until the last ~30s-1min! It's all about how much better you can get. Yes, maybe it's unrealistic to think you will suddenly start playing absurdly well right at the end, or that they'll suddenly start making a lot more mistakes, but it's a greater period of flux than any other, so it's actually more likely than most given times in a match. Not saying it's likely to just suddenly turn around, but there's always hope.

well, there are those times when the enemy team flashes into the fountain, but unless that happens I believe the chances of winning are preeeeeeeetty slim
Literally played a game a few days ago where my entire team lost. Jungle bot mid top all got wrecked. We literally lost 4 towers at like 15 minutes and came back and won 20 minutes later. We were down 2 inhibs for like 30% of the game. And wend down a Baron. But smart play and good itemazation won us the game.
Team: GG we're one kill down at 20 minutes we can't win
Me: D-Don't give up! [sg-soraka]
"We can win this guys! Till nexus stands game isn't over yet!"(c) 1\15 lulu at 15 minute mark with 1\9 xayah who fed jhin to state that he had 3 items at minute 20 then proceed to feed kata to 20 stacks when she got dumpstered to 0\5 50 cs in lane...
When people started to bitch, moan, and give up rather than grind it out.
Just had a game where nobody really won lane and we started to get our butts handed to us. Nobody even started a vote to surrender and the game started to turn around after we snuck baron while the enemy team did dragon.
This is right on point. People totally underestimate the value of morale, but it's super-important! You've gotta hold on to hope, especially when it's all you have.
but then you have to fight Moral vs Moral. Your team Moral hoping to turn it around. Versus the Enemy team Fed ADC boosting their Moral to win.
So you just have to be better at morale than them. :P
Usually there will be someone who's tilting. If the enemy team doesn't support them - and very few people do - it's very easy for that to spiral out of control. Maybe the ADC they're all relying on made a mistake. Maybe their top is behind and blames their jungler/mid/support/adc/scuttle crab/bushes/whatever for not helping them. Maybe their ADC is abusing their support. Maybe their mid is being a prima donna, or their jungle is upset that no one is listening to them. Maybe their support is autofilled from ADC and is criticizing everything the ADC does.
Regardless of who, it's very hard to have a cohesive team for a long period of time with randoms. So often there's just that one bad egg. If they can't end, they might start getting restless, while if you can hold your team up and encourage them, they might be able to hold on. You don't have to last forever - just longer than the enemy team!

late 2015 or so
Since the meta changed to faster paced games with champions having tons of damage and turrets made of paper.
2 lanes is 40% to 60% of the entire team.
it's been like this since forever you can win bot but would still lose the game when top and mid lose their lanes, i do not like how the game is decided by those two laners
Doesn't that apply to any two laners though? Like, if two people are behind in general, doesn't that result in two people being behind, regardless of position?
If you can't carry currently as adc player you just need to git gud.
anyone who can't carry should practice and get better, no lane or a role specifications really
League has quite a bit to do with Morale If you think you're going to lose you probably will. The more your team Gives up the harder it is to win. try keeping morale up.
When those two people AFK, your internet dies, North Korea nukes the US, and someone eats my sandwich. Until then, its fair game.
Two reasons:
First is that so much of the game simply happens around botlane. Mid roams there to get kills, jg usually has the easiest time ganking there, and two others are there. Drake is also right nearby (which is a permanent buff, as opposed to the half a turret to two turrets of Herald), and it usually has the champion strongest in late game. It's also the only turret without the early shield on it, making it an easier target for first turret.
Second is morale. If almost half of the team is losing, it's terrible for morale, which is one of the biggest factors in winning or losing. The reason I (and others) talk so much is to keep morale up, because as soon as that goes, the match is over. And since people are so convinced that botlane decides who wins...
Since Riot decided that ADCs need to have the highest game impact of any role because they were a joke for about 2 months out of the game's entire lifetime.
Ever since you started not caring about the game when they do.
If those 2 losing lanes are vs a nasus and a kogmaw, and mid and jungle are going even, then I won't say they're wrong.
Plot twist : cassio and master yi
Wait.
So you mean the team that had 3 people lose laning phase beats the team that only lost 2?
Why the fuck have I been trying to hard to get ahead early game [sg-lux-2]
season 1?
Since game was created...?
It depends on how the lanes put pressure down.
Jungle can translate a lead to all 3 lanes, Acquire objectives toplane can split push, acquire rift herald, and draw pressure toplane as well as cause the enemy jungler to lose control of his topside jungle, midlane essentially can roam very well since having lane dominance guarantees you'll always shove first, forcing the enemy mid to push the wave back while you roam which does make it very hard on the jungler to respond to invades, bottom side puts two people behind, acquire dragon causes enemy bot lane to fall behind as well as support items being accelerated and with proper rotations kills objectives faster.
Mid lane is one person. Top lane is one person. Bot lane are TWO people. It kinda makes sense.
it's only a gg if they feed to int levels. if twitch comes out of lane 5/1 the game is totally salvageable. if he comes out 22/3 it's gonna be a tough night haha.
Since I started noticing.
That's far too late for the game to be over, most people seem to think it's time to pack it in after first blood these days. Actually playing the game out is too much work, aren't we all here just to play the draft and the first 3 minutes of the game?
Since PreSeason 7
games over in 5 to 10 min give or take but there are those rare i mean rare games that transcend time itself to a 50 min struggle. (its worth mentioning)
