Can someone justify the damage of Master Yi

Please if you can tell me how his damage and mobility is any way fair. The q that can easily be used to avoid whole combos. True damage. Incredible mobility and attack speed. Absolute bonkers damage. All this while having one of the simplest most straightforward kits in the game.

I have been wondering how his kit is any way fair. I really don't get it. My last game we got crushed by him but i am not even surprised we didn't actually play a normal comp everyone was playing squishies and didn't take it too seriously. But today i have had a ranked game as Zilean support and all i had to do was to ult Master Yi so he could have another go in teamfights. This solely could win the game for us. He obliterated everyone faster than any assassin i know. I have countless games like this that there was no way to stop him.

If you can please explain to me why he can exist in his current state. I would really like to know. This is not even a salt post i am simply curious how you will justify all the bullshit that is Master Yi. I can't even be remotely mad at the champion he is so absurdly strong.

no cc, very vulnerable to cc himself

squishy, even with the bruiser build due to no defensive steroid

meditate is a shitty defense spell so he either goes all-in or dies trying

all he offers is damage. no wonder he does a ton of it

So if his team can hold you down for 3 seconds you are fucked

if any team holds yours down for 3 seconds you're going to lose the teamfight unless they picked 5 tanks. they don't need a yi to wipe you out in that situation

I agree. He's so vulnerable to many things that all you must do is play around him, just like ANY other champions weaknesses/strengths. Don't feed him early game, if anything try and get a good early kill IF you can. Otherwise CC is your best friend. The major CC that makes him terrible is roots/stuns :).

He is a trollpick right now basically.

OP in low elo because people play retarded and feed him.

First of all, he has less than 50% winrate overall. Second of all, nobody give a shit about him in high elo Third of all, you are silver elo.

Yeah man you could say that in high Elo yi doesn’t matter, but keep in mind that gold and up only accounts for 30% of the player base. Practically 70% of players are silver/bronze. So I think yi being the easiest pick that can in reality 1v5 in a lot of situations seems a little dumb. I know that yi is countered but, if you aren’t playing the role that shuts yi down (tanks and a few mages) then you’re a sitting duck waiting to see how your allies will apply their cc. More often than not, they blow their big cc abilities before yi even comes into the fight. What do you do? Well you throw your abilities, flash maybe, and yi catches up to you 90% of the time, picking you off at about the same speed as a caster minion. So remember where most of the player base is.

Also, I have level 4 mastery on yi and will play him if I really just want to sit back and win with hardly any effort. I have in total 14 mastery 7 champs and i can carry more often with Master Yi than with any of my level 7 champs. I think that is saying something.

No team fighting abilities, raw damage only, melee and is very prone to CC. No, I wouldn't consider his kit fair and if you asked me he is a part of an outdated concept that Riot tried and failed. It's easy to counterpick Yi, for example Skarner or Malzahar and shut down his potential at all stages of the game. However if your team does not have the tools to deal with a yi and he manages to farm till late game it becomes really really hard to stop the yi in general.
