Which way are you supposed to even build him?

Yes, I've seen AD Aatrox and AP Aatrox on an on and off basis, so I was curious.

Rageblade is a waste though... your only auto attack reset is Titanic so it takes a pretty long time to stack up... if you want more damage Bork or Steraks is nice. Otherwise going straight into tank items is better in my experience.
You must not know aatrox scaling.he has no ap scaling. Guinsos is the only "ap" item you want on him
He has ap scaling on his ult
ap but with attack speed
Aatrox main. 250k mastery points.
Get a few offensive items on him. A typical build that I like is:
.
Blade of the Ruined King is core and will likely always will be unless it falls out of meta or a new item comes along that's better. First item rush. After BoRK, finish defensive boots. (Tabi, Merc Treads.) Defensive boots are very good on Aatrox as it helps him duel more. Phantom Dancer after BoRK. Many reasons for this:
After BoRK, Boots, and PD, the rest of your build is up to you. Do you want to be purely tanky afterwards so you can survive in fights? Do you want to get Death's Dance to deal more damage and sustain through everything? Death's Dance is a great item on Aatrox. It prolongs his passive artificially, making it very valuable in team-fights. Spirit Visage's healing increase is also very very good.
Just one thing. Do NOT buy Guardian Angel on Aatrox. Guardian Angel takes priority over Aatrox's passive revive, which means that your Blood Well (if completely full) will rapidly drain while you sit in stasis. You will have to work to get 5 stacks back up to fill your passive. It's really a gamebreaking issue but idk if Riot is truly aware.
Anyways feel free to reply to ask me any questions you got. I spent a lot of time on this (way more than I thought I would) so yeah. I'd like to be as thorough as possible.
