@Riot Real Jungle Diversity

Riot I am just wondering where the jungle diversity went that was talked about so heavily at the start of the season, and if there is any chance we will get that at some point?

Ever since Cinderhulk was brought into the game, the jungle diversity has been tossed out the window.

The new jungle alone stifled jungle diversity pretty hard with the new map, it didn't get resolved until Cinderhulk was brought in, which in turn did the job of making tanks viable again, while making so many other things second fiddle. Speaking of Fiddle, Runglaive helped a few jungles (2 mostly, Eve and Diana) but hurt others that are less auto attack based...like Fiddlesticks.

Why was the other AP item removed and Runeglaive not just added as well? If you want true diversity, why is there no place for both when they didn't fill the exact same space? Will there be any point that we get a jungle item that is meant to ranged champions because as it currently stands, you continue to nerf anything that allows ranged champions an advantage in any way in the jungle, and with devourer I understand. Is there no room for more than one or two types of strong junglers at a time?

I think there have been some good steps, but each step forward for one group seems to push another group back, and that isn't giving us jungle diversity as much as establishing a new "meta" every time you release a new jungle item, or nerf one of them. Is there no place for multiple ap jungle items, multiple auto attack specific AD items (devourer is much better than warrior right now for example), and why can we not have a ranged focused jungle item? Are only melee champions allowed to jungle? What happened to Riot not dictating the meta? Every time a champion goes where you don't want (soraka mid I'm looking at you) they get smacked. you are making a jungler that is a Marksman while making the item that would be strong on them specifically, weaker on them specifically, and making it harder and harder with the leashing resets (which I really don't like personally) for ranged people to jungle without melee help to simply keep aggro.

Any chance we can have a real, full discussion about this @Riot anyone? This isn't some bashing, angry rant, this is someone concerned about where the jungle has gone, and coming from someone that has been awfully discouraged to get more into jungling as a role (I didn't do it much before).

I know some junglers to an extent like some of the changes, but it is hard to learn a new role when it is seemingly in flux every 4-5 patches with item/camp/mechanic changes.

The biggest problem with bringing diversity in this game is that people seem to go for what will win. You see a lot of devourer junglers in low elo solo queue because it A) has little weakness there due to the biggest counter (teamwork) being very rare) and B) didn't encourage the jungler to actually work with their team until mid-late game.

Apparently it's not common in higher elo's. But I'm sure there's a lack of diversity in higher elo's in general because people seem to pick what wins and the meta gives them a road map for that.

Then it seeps into normals, because winning those is obviously important.
