If you are going to keep Darius healing for 30%+ of his max health we need Grievous wounds again.
TL:DR make healing have realistic counter play options open to players since no one takes ignite anymore. If you are down voting explain why I am an idiot so I am less likely to make another post like this.
Executioner's calling, while it was hardly bought especially in it's last form it did have a time to be bought once in a great while.
But when we need something like it most to contend with champs who heal so much, it is nowhere to be found. (looking at you Darius and Soraka)
I am not asking for the last form of executioner's calling to be back. That would not be something many would considered a good option for buying due to the lack of stats. What is needed is an item slightly above stat efficient (costs around 2,800g with about 3,000g worth of stats) that can provide temporary reduction of healing when you use the active correctly. If Darius is not going to have his Q heal nerfed in a meaningful way or get another rework we will need something to better deal with him.
It should not be a passively applied debuff on every auto for the Grievous wounds since then it becomes like the Oracle's Lens vs akali which baiscally makes her W worthless in all situations and is by all means a unhealthy hard counter. What it should be is something like an active for the next auto attack to apply Grievous wounds for 4 second on a target (45 second cooldown). Such an item it would allow for a window of weakness against healers.
Riot I get that you think Grievous wounds are not good for the game but if you are going to be adding so many strong heals be it self heals or Soraka there needs to be some real way to contented with them. And don't give the "that would make it feel unrewarding to play healers bullshit since it feels really unrewarding to be one hit away from killing the enemy in mid or top when suddenly soraka ults."
Oh it is also a way to potentially diversify the ADC build paths since marksmen basically all have one build they focus on getting. Sure it is different from ADC to ADC but they all tend to have their one specific build path they go for to max their damage. If you add items that contend with some kind of potential problem that isn't in every game then different items will be bought. Kinda like against an all AD team MR items tend to be bought less, it just fits the situation. The only current examples of ADC item diversification is bloodthirster VS BotRK and PD VS shivv.
Just a idea to contend with something that seems to be showing itself as more of a trend as of late.
