Why is lulu so good against ekko

every time i lane against ekko with my lulu he gets destroyed and its confusing me because ekko is such a good champ and lulu is seen more as a support mid lane champion

Don't get me wrong, Ekko is still a really good character (even as support, he's like the 5th best right now). The problem lies in lulu's actual kit. Not only does she have bonus passive damage off her autos (making for easier harass), but her entire ability set allows her to blow away anything melee-based that tries to engage. Guy's trying to fire off abilities behind a minion wave? Glitterlance, eat a slow. Guy's trying to come in and hit you with melee attacks? Polymorph, let him do zero damage for a few seconds. Don't get me wrong, she still gets absolutely destroyed by ranged characters/assassins (hence why I always instalock leblanc/veigar whenever I see her). Vs melee characters though, she has to be at the top of the list when it comes to actual counters and not just walls (sorry malphite).

Losing lane as Lulu is lack of skill, that's how broken she is.

lol lulu is a way better midlaner than support and has been since season 4. Lulu is impossible to win lane against for any melee unless the person on the melee champ is like 153018350801 times better than you.

go watch some professional play lulu mid is core in many things especially like juggermaw.

How on earth? Cause I've never been able to beat Ekko mid. Can I ask how you build her, or what spell you get first? I am really curious and wanna start trying lulu mid or top along with sup.

It's not that hard. Just harass with Q's and AA's. When he Phase Drives to all in. WEQ walk away, and you've won the trade.

Lulu is a great counter to all-in champs, since her Polymorph freezes them and leaves them open to retaliation. Thats why when you see Katarina, you know who to pick

im lvl 5 lulu and this is my build path from start to finish item 3165 item 3158 item 3100 item 3089 item 3135 then it differs from item 3285 (usually this one is before lich bane) item 3116 item 3157 item 3151 item 3001 depending on how the game goes. and as for lane i always just try to harass him with my autos (when there arent many minions) and proc thunderlords and harass him when he goes to farm with my q, dont use your e for damage early, he will retort with some of his own damage, place your e on yourself when he tries to proc his 3rd auto on you. if he dashes to you polymorph him

Basically you(and many others) get confused because you have a wrong perception of lulu. She's more utillity focused, yes, but she works better in a sololane than as support, and she is one of the best earl laners in the game with actually no bad matchup for her. Her utillity makes it hard for most opponents to really find a proper opening to fight her, and her e+q+AAs allow for massive harras that is nearly impossible to avoid unless you stay far back and thus loose out cs vs her, and her basevalues are high enough to give her serious killpresure vs anyone that trys to stick around for to long. In pro-play, she mostly is used as a midlaner and sometimes top, but nearly never as support.

Lulu is a lane-bully who excels at shutting down melee champions and assassins in lane and preventing assassins from killing targets in skirmishes and teamfights.

Why wouldn't she beat Ekko, who is a melee assassin.
