If you mute a player in game their champion shouldn't be able to joke/taunt/dance/laugh/emote i honestly think that this little change will make a big difference

edit: i like how people think im the one raging about the taunts, i just posted this because of all the champion hate and how most of them just spam their animations and thought about that this change would actually alleviate champion hate a bit

If you mute a player in the game, you already don't hear their emotes.

You don't hear it, but you still see it everytime you die, and they use mastery and whatever most annoying spam taunt it is.

I think he's suggesting the removal of the animation, but since the animation is disabled only exclusively to the player doing the muting, that'd be a hassle to implement..

Just because you wanna mute someone doesn't mean you're gonna report them and vice versa

Muting is just about giving the player the option to not deal with someone on their own judgement, reporting is about standards, they're used for entirely separate if sometimes overlapping reasons

The feature is already partially built into the game, anyway. (and is supposed to mute the tauntswhen the player is muted- but it's buggy, doesn't mute all clips correctly as some play and some dont, and still plays animations and sfx)

Only thing I can't stand are the passive comments, like on Illaoi and AurelionSol . I know it isn't much, but hearing "You are in motion!" or "My sphere of influence grows." every two seconds is just a pain. It's about on par with the Cait head shot thing for me.

Taunting is a tool. A tool is used to achieve a goal. The goal here being to win. The counter to that tool is to not be as salty as the dead sea.

There is something called psychological warfare. You can win games solely from manipulating the enemy team into fighting itself rather than fighting your team. Just like you can make a come back from one very positive player in your team. I've seen infighting getting defused by a player and seemingly impossible odds being beaten because the enemy team got cocky. Why remove tools that aren't toxic behavior or bannable offense? Less tools to fight with means a more shallow gameplay. People just need to learn that positiveness is the key to success. Not to mention that those taunts are a double edge axe that can easily turn against you in a psychological warfare.

So true. So many games we were 9/20 in 20 mins whole team is like "ff, ggwp, open mid" and i just tell them to sh't up and focus we can turn this around. And the enemy team starts getting so cocky they try to towerdive over and over again until the score changes to 19/22 and we are back in the game and win.

Or how about you grow a thicker skin, there's legitimate harassing like typing curses and flaming and being an ass hat, and then there's taunting, it's supposed to make you a bit angry, it's a taunt. What's next? Graves default skin is pool party because guns offend people? Hell, dunk master darius should be removed from the game then.

My point is, there are things that are wrong and should be punished (and are being punished) and then there is just complaining cause a fantasty character is taunting you.

Ultimately they would have to censor Heimerdinger out period. My friend goes full tilt just seeing him... even when I am playing Dinger.

In his immortal words: "Heimerdinger is proof that there isn't a god. What hell made you want to make that top laner suffer and slowly lose his sanity?"

The top laner I went against typed in at about 20 minutes and severely underfed with 4 unsuccessful all in ganks leading to double kills for me was: "I'm trying to stay positive." In other words what he meant to say was: "I am slowly losing my grasp on what is left of my sanity. Please stop this madness and begone you foul wretch."

The game nowadays are just boring snd the only fun thing to do is to taunt and try to do some next level skillshots or dodging one.

Raging is part of League now; do u ever feel to be outplayed and being speechless to the enemy team? No. Becoz the game now sucks, it doesnt have the aspects of lettig people feel like being outplayed; too balanced in champs, items.
