"Omg Mordekaiser is so utterly broken and unfair I'm literally shaking and crying right now"

Then, how about the champion who's mains complained mere weaks ago how she was soooo weak and forced to support even if she is """""""SUPPOSED""""""" to be a midlaner? She is now wrecking everything everywhere, even in toplane, and this only because of some mere simple buffs that caused her pickrate to rise so other people realise "heeeeeyyy, that's pretty good". Why should a brand new, slow, bulkish, easily counterable juggernaut be gutted simply for existing when a champion doing better in every cases while having more range, more mobility, more utility, more CC and, arguably, more damage gets ignored? If Morde gets nerfed but not Karma, it'll be straight favoritism from Riot towards certain groups of players. https://i.imgur.com/emuNXWa.png[/img]

Morde"s balanced bad players just need something to complain about.

Lol nice! implying that marksmen main can remember that far back to season 5.

Mordekaiser just got a hotfix to nerf his passive, which was the bulk of his issues.

Karma top, as you can see, shot up in performance this past patch. You know, in line with the two pretty powerful buffs she received?

It wasn't just the passive as well, he received like 6 nerfs at once didn't he? Now I honestly say he can get wrecked by anything ranged, especially if they have a way to get good move speed or a dash.

Which is as it should be.

You mean the two pretty basic buffs on already very powerfull abilities? Yeah, that's what I'm complaining about actually: those buffs were actually pretty ok-ish compaired to things we've got in the past (think about Galio who got WAY bigger buffs but who got a pretty similar jump in efficiency when he got his AP ratios buffed), yet, the jump in her winrate and usability is insanely high. This is pretty much related to the fact that the biggest thing that those buffs brought to her was attention from players who'll try her out for once. everyone has been acting like she was one of the weakest things ever, but her pickrate was so abysmal that it didn't really matter. The biggest buff she got was the increase of pickrate, meaning that she was already pretty damn good before hand, before a certain Juggernaut was reworked into a brand new kit that pretty much anyone who lost to him didn't fully understand yet. The thing is that whenever Karma is not getting attention, her pickrate is low and people consider her bad. but as soon as she gets popular and utterly broken because of it, she explodes everything in the meta and nobody bats an eye and it'll probably stay this way until some major tournaments of pro-play gets a 100% pick/ban rate on her. This is literally the same thing that happened with top Viktor: he never had any direct buffs, but the more his pickrate rised, the more his winrate got insane. It stayed this way until Korea pro-players 100% pick/banned him and at this point he was already sitting on a near 56% winrate.

People should stop putting champions who are under the spotlight alone under the nerf guillotine (Morde) when there's several others who deserves to be put under it too (therefore, not excluding Morde, but including him)

I think you've got it entirely backwards. A higher win rate doesn't come from a higher play rate without buffs. If not for the buffs, she wouldn't have jumped in performance.

{quoted} PaffWasTaken: Karma is OP, so no other champion in the game can be OP.

Yeah, no

Also, Karma is getting nerfed in the upcoming patch.

PaffWasTaken2 votes

I'm literally making a thread about how the whole community acts like only Mordekaiser is OP, and you think I'm saying that only Karma is OP?

you misinterpret the thing, mate. I literally put Morde's busted win/pickrate just to show that there's a lot going on in the OP department. I'm not showcasing specifically Karma because I want her to be the only one considered OP, I showcased her because I'm tired of people considering Morde as the only Op thing at the moment. almost no one talks about other toplane problems who aren't related to him or Tahm, but there's way more going on.

Also, Karma is getting nerfed in the upcoming patch.

Yeah, cool. Actual nerfs, buffs getting reverted or joke nerfs like the -5ms Irellia meme? That's another problem: no one knows until Riots succeeds or fails, and in the latter case we need to wait another 2 weeks to see if they don't miss their shot this time.

Boards want Morde to sit at 47% wr, then he's balanced.

Seriously, we are slowly going to go full circle and bring him back to post jugg rework level of nerfs

"Omg Mordekaiser is so utterly broken and unfair I'm literally shaking and crying right now"

Okay, first off, what? So because one champion is strong, that means nothing else matters and no other champion can be problematic? Yes, Karma's winrate is obscenely high right now, but that doesn't mean Mordekaiser was in a balanced state as a result.

Secondly, Morde just got hotfixed, his passive and base stats were reduced so hopefully he should fall back in line. Karma just received buffs and they were clearly too much, so given a bit of time she'll be hotfixed or nerfed accordingly.

Edit: Hey, fun fact, here's confirmation of an incoming Karma nerf that you could have found yourself if you bothered to check:

Edit: Hey, fun fact, here's confirmation of an incoming Karma nerf that you could have found yourself if you bothered to check:

Oh wow, I now have to search for every developpers who MIGHT share information on twitter or persons documenting the twitter posts on forum posts with limited visibility? Wow, how convenient, this sure is more efficient than the official information sharing medias that developpers should be using... /s

Also, this shares nothing on what will actually come out of this. Morde getting hotfixed nerfed doesn't exclude the fact that he'll be nerfed again in the next patch, and Karma getting a confirmed nerf doesn't confirm that she might have an ACTUAL nerf and not something more related to Riven's recent "nerf" or the classic Irelia "-5ms" meme.

So because one champion is strong, that means nothing else matters and no other champion can be problematic

I wasn't saying that Morde isn't overpowered. He is. But the facts are that other champions are waaaaaay more problematic in a far more steady state than a newly released rework of a champion who's part of a champion class that was nearly forgotten about in the meta. What's the point of nerfing a problematic figure if other figures are even more problematic, but not getting any attention? AKA, why does everyone complain about an overpowered Morde, while willingfully ignoring that he isn't the only one who's ruining toplane?

Dude, you can literally just google "Karma nerfs". It's also on the Karma mains subreddit which is, you know, kind of a good place to get reliable information regarding a champion. It's not like I had to go searching through 50 different sources just to find one that says Riot is nerfing Karma, it's open information that's easy to access if you take the time to **actually look it up. **

Also, just because you don't use Twitter doesn't mean it's not an "official" source of information, plenty of developers across many different games use it as a means to connect with their audience. On top of that, the link I posted is from a tweet that was just made 5 days ago, meaning a more informative and "streamlined" announcement is coming soon.

I mean to be completely fair, Karma was pretty sub par before the buff, she’s only been broken for this one patch.
