Need Galio counters?

He can be played top/mid/support, and jungle. Personally I like crushing meta slaves so thats why I'm asking. Every approach I've tried has failed even if i win lane he still outscales the picks i've made either in utility or overall. Tried Riven, Camille recently, Yasuo, Vayne, Fiora a long while back. All champions I'm experienced with.

Tbh I have difficulty avoiding his q (It isnt telegraphed at all, the vortexs placement basically feels random to play against (Difficult to predict) and hurts like hell with some points, The taunt personally feels unavoidable at melee range if he doesn't charge it (though with an obvious downside), and the dash seems like the main part of his kit you can really react to besides ultimate. He's a team fighting monster regardless of his lane and just useful overall. I really can't even think of a reason for someone NOT to pick him aside from just not enjoying him as a champion. I'm not saying he's the black Lotus of Lol, but can you actually name a champion that can be played in more than 3 roles viably? Most champions are good/great at 1 or two roles or subpar at 1/2.

Ex: Release Yasuo (Literally was cancer, google it) could mainly be played top or mid. I've seen people make current yas "work" in the jungle but there's a difference between working and excelling.

TL;DR: Anyways rant aside gimme some counterpicks? I thought of tryndamere but Trynd is basically useless if he gets chain cced (galio says hi) or maybe warrick? I dont know... I keep thinking pick AD
