Jamaree5 votesTier 1 runes need to be free, newbies need to be told and taught that buying tier 2 runes is absolutely useless and just a waste of time and IP, there needs to be a way to just free roam and view champions, skins, and etc, rune pages need to not be as expensive or at least be given one every once in a while.

League of Legends is one of the few games out there that is truly free to play where spending real money gives you no advantage what so ever. You guys are now complaining that you have to play the game to earn stuff? Come on guys you have to be willing to put in some work. You guys want free this and free that just enjoy the game in regular mode until you have an adequate amount of runes and champions.

Real money doesnt give any advantages. Sure. Money can't buy more rune pages so you can have the upper hand in different matchups. Money can't buy you champions so you don't need to pick that singular one champion for top lane while hard countering yourself.
Sure, after a while ( 2 or 3 years playing), you will have a good champion pool, and some runes, but it is almost unfair comparing 2 players that started from scratch now, one just with IP and the other with RP and IP.

We as a community have to stop complaining over every little hardship and accept some things as they are. "Take a while". Well. In my main account I'm missing 23 champions. Bought about 5 or 6 with RP, bought all rune pages with IP. 3555 games.AI, X3, Ranked, normals... 3 years. And I'm still missing champions and runes (by the way, I bought a lot of the runes during the "price drops", even some unconventional ones).
If you consider asking for something logical as "Wow all the runes should have the same price since they should impact in a equal manner" and not "I'm gonna buy magic/armor pen reds... nice... 7800ip.... damn, It is the price of two champions? Why?". being spoon fed, good luck. You got into their trap. Poor riot, with almost no cash, begging for a niquel, giving huge piles of money in E-sports.
Riot explains that "It disencourages people to try 'horrible builds'. In the end we have some horrible runes that are noob traps and other that are behind a griding wall that can rushed with cash. It took about what? 4 years to remove the the rune combinator? A noob trap and IP sink. (Yes, new players need an ip sink, because runes/runes pages/champions aren't enoguh)
You can add up to that the FOTM heroes, that are systematically buffed and nerfed so if you want to climb you really to become a one trick poney or abuse the freelo (probably dumping more cash so you can get that champ a lot early).
Try to think as someone that got into the game just now. IF you wanna get all champion it will cost you 90735 RP (2014 - 117 champions). It means 600U$. It's even funnier when beta players (s0, s1...) come and say "Riot I have tons of IP. I got ALL, everything. Can I get a skin or something, I mean, put some high price, or give us the opportunity to unlock legacy/limited skins with huge IP prices? "- Oh oh ho sure.. hermm...here this icon that shows up about 1 minute in the loading screen, now go play more lol. Don't forget to buy a pack of chromas or one of the 4 skins we release in a month." Chroma "SKINS" . 10 minute of work = complete skin. No coding, no programing, just a pallet swap. (That's free[unlockable in heroes of storm, and free in some fighting games.]. Why not sell it by ip/rp? Because money.
