If I grab Zed, and you pick anything not as mobile (thus Fizz, Ekko, sometimes Ahri, Talon. Etc) for mid, or your team declines to take hard CC because they all want to be "play makers?" I will eat your team and wait for you to FF at 20.
If your team is seemingly going CC heavy, I just wont pick him.

So you've explained perfectly why he's not, by explaining that there is no counterplay to him unless you've counter-picked him. And any time they do counter Zed you don't pick him.

No no no no no, you need to count only the ones who have such abilities targeted. That's the decider. If it were really as skewed against Zed as you say, he would constantly be underperforming. But that's simply not the case because his mobility can overcome most threats.

Targetting his shadow, or during his ult animation cast CC at his target, will amost invariably stop his kill, if not lock him in place long enough to kill him.

You're implying someone must have the knowledge of a Zed main to be able to counter him even with abilities that should.

Where the difference lies is that some champions require intricate knowledge of how to play them yourself in order to counter a main reliably, while most others only require basic knowledge. And most often, that's tied to how mobile they are.
Cats Are Food1 votesEXACTLY. I feel, quite personally, that Volibear is %%%%%%edly over powered. This game seriously didn't need yet another broken champ from the days of DotA, who can instantly shift a teamfight by having more presence than the other four on his team. I also am not all that great with Volibear, and can barely play him... comparitively... and it's been that way since his release. It's subjective.

Literally no one cares that you can take Taric in a solo lane against players in normals or low elo who don't know how to play against it and cheese them.

AlienPrimate1 votesBecause morons can't realize that all you have to do to counter all these assassins that they think are broken is pick anyone who is tanky with good base damage and CC. They pick Zed or Talon? Don't pick Lux or Zoe and complain that they one shot you. Pick any of the following and make him cry in a corner. Sure, they may not be meta but sheep refusing to break the meta is how all this "x is so broken and needs nerfs because I refuse to change the way I play to deal with x pick" happens. 
I will stop posting about it when Taric stops dumpstering all of these champions. I have seen a complaint or advice on countering probably half of these in the past month and I beat all of these with Taric every single time. Why does it matter that I play mostly normal games? Beating these champions in a normal game is the exact same thing as beating them in a ranked game.
