It's a lot to ask of a person in my opinion. He's blatantly overloaded with utility (MASSIVE mobility, shield, stun, slow, heal) and gets on hit damage with high AP ratios that rival every other AP assassin. It's basically everything people complain about other champions in one.

I don't want to play a chess game in lane trying to think about Ekko's next 6 moves that will trap me into death on top of worrying about a jungler etc.

A champion shouldn't be able to blatantly bait with so much safety and still have massive utility and kill potential. It's just stupid. The only time I see Ekkos die is when they get ambushed next to their ghost or when they do a ridiculously stupid play that no other champ would even think about.
