Thought of a possible Malzahar change, but it'd probably make him OP

Don't you hate it when you go for a Nether Grasp and get interrupted almost immediately either by your target or by someone else? I know what you're thinking: "You used it wrong. You suck." But it royally sucks when your target instantly interrupts it because of sheer bad luck.

Looking at his Void Shift passive, I had one idea: What if using Nether Grasp instantly resets Malzahar's passive? That way, the enemy you're suppressing is VERY unlikely to be able to break your channel due to cast animation crap, but an enemy can still save said teammate by first poking you and then stunning/silencing/etc-ing you.

But I'm sure everyone's going to tell me to STFU and not to suggest any sort of Malzahar buff because it'd wreck Yasuo.

like Malzahar would need any buffs in the first place.

and that would just make him even more brainless.

he should get punished if he ults in the wrong moment/place, that would just remove counterplay.

and the boards are against Yasuo anyway, imo he could just get deleted, but still Malzahar buffs are defintiely not needed.

So... item 3140 isn't punishing counterplay enough?

that's a completely different thing.

but his Passive shield is there to protect him when he walks up and tries to combo. making his Ult reset his shield would just be brainless.

i mean, when playing against him you should get rewarded for breaking the shield and using the downtime. but a free shield on ulting would just be broken.

wouldn't make him op, just harder to kill.

The issue is that it'd also make it a tad harder to save your teammate from his ult, as you'd need to first knock out his passive BEFORE trying to interrupt him. If you use that Elise Cocoon while his shield is up, it won't work and your teammate will rage at you for "being bad" after he dies. =/
