As a Yorick main. My main issue with his kit is that he relies too much on his minions to fight, without them he has to bail or else risk dying as he can't defend himself properly. He relies too much on the enemy's minions to create ghouls and that screws him over in the late game. As a juggernaut he couldn't need prep time to set up his graves and summon ghouls. In the laning phase his kit is good as he can bully his enemies hard, but after that he relies on his maiden to summon ghouls.
I got several suggestions on how to deal with this, and I am gonna split them up in two groups, one for ghouls, and one for the maiden
Ghouls:
1: Yorick's E summons 1+1 ghoul for each rank he has in his ult, up to all 4 ghouls at lv 16:
- This way Yorick doesn't need to worry about graves at higher levels as at the start he needs to have limits on summoning his ghouls as they do hit hard. it will also make his E more useful and rewarding to land as it's just a marker to his ghouls to jump to a target and is fairly useless without any ghouls around.
2: Give Ghouls a percentage of his armor:
- If Yorick is gonna have a hard time summoning ghouls, then it's only fair that it's gonna be hard to kill them in the late game. Right not they die so damn fast it's not even funny and if they are to last in teamfights then they should have some of Yorick's resistances on them. Seriously. Yorick almost always gets
after he is finish building a
so why should he be forced to build HP to make his ghouls tougher?
Maiden of the Mists:
1: Make her controllable at the cost of it's power and or duration:
- The maiden is damn strong true, but if Yorick is to have her around, he should at least be able to control her. That way he may have control over her and thus able to direct her out of harm's way if she is under turrets or in teamfights. Her primary function if more to apply marks for yorick to pop meaning that her hp and damage should be lowered to compensate for that.
2: Create drawbacks for killing Yorick or the Maiden while she is up:
- Got this one from when I got killed while my maiden was up and her HP as quickly dropping. Make it so that if the maiden is killed it's will heal Yorick for X amount of his missing HP and if Yorick is killed, then he will stay alive for 4 to 6.5 seconds base on the maidens remaining HP and gain the ability to 75% of the maidens mark damage on his basic attack. Let's call this effect Symbiosis.
For both: Make them smarter. their A.I sucks.
