Sions ultimate should probably only increase speed when going towards enemies.

It's kind of funny when 75% of the time they use thier ultimate to run away before they are about to die while outnumbered. Anti-thematic, really. Instead of being a bad ass unstoppably charging into battle with a war cry, he's running with his tail between his legs at warp speed and he's so desperate to get away that he becomes unstoppable. I just imagine that war cry being replaced with him yelling out "im a pussssssy!" as he runs halfway across the map at 10% health.

Tactical retreat.

Tactical retreat.

You don't tactical retreat while letting out a war cry that says you're out for blood.

You've also got to be pretty desperate to run away to do it faster than anyone else on the rift could, and be unstoppable in the process. That makes him look like the biggest scaredy cat in the entire champion pool. Especially when he's so buff. It's such a contradiction.

Clearly this doesn't fit with the character of sion or the original intention of the ability as an engagement tool.

I would not be surprised if this was a big contributing factor to his top winrate.

It's standard to build max CDR on sion with tanky items, so that means he has a get out of jail free card up for every encounter.

That kind of escape on any champion would be powerful, but when you combine it with his high survivability and his ability to duel many champions you end up with 54% winrate.

He'll split push without fear. He might kill you if you try to stop him, but if he realizes he can't, or becomes outnumbered, he has plenty of time thanks to his survivability to get into his escape pod and flee the scene. Then he'll be back to do it all over again in 30-40 seconds.

Sion's ulti is not that game-breaking because he still has a "ramp up" time before he becomes 'Sion the Hedgehog', if you're fast or close enough you can intercept him before he ramps up the speed by standing in his way (he has about 1 second after casting R in which he would be very slow). You will get knocked up, sure, but he is cornered.

Also, if he uses ulti to escape, given it's still an ultimate, he has no immediate access it to again, and he also loses his great initiate for the meantime.

Body locking is a legitimate way to stop him, but it's not always an option if he positions decently and you don't have a way to dash behind him and stay behind him. Stopping to auto him as he runs can also prevent you from staying in position to block his exit.

It will stop him sometimes, but he'll probably get away most of the time against most champions which is where the influence on that 54% winrate probably comes in.

He have a pretty long cd on ult also if this logic is how we balance the game now pls nerf kha for going invisible when i could kill him, or dont let vi q trough a wall or fiora cant dash whithout a target or cam nerf too o ROROOROROROOROROROORORORORO yes it go all day long.

TLDR:NOPE

Khazix is a shifty assassin by nature and design. He's suppose to strike and get away. That's part of how he was designed, and part of his character.

Sion using his ult primarily as an escape tool is both anti-thematic to his character and goes counter to the design and intent of his ultimate.

When Fiora and Vi can dash across half the map and become unstoppable, then we can talk about their escape potential and whether or not that is fitting to their character and design. A little dash is perfectly fitting for who they are and how they operate, and not even anything unusual compared with what most champions these days have access to.

Yo when u say its part of his character u mean his lore, then lemme tell you in lore he has no control over what he does in the rift so pls dont come up whit things like this also lemme point it out again that the ult u want to be nerfed is pretty balanced(if ur not a monkey who want it to be nerfed) also the whole "character" of his is pretty balanced if not weak compared to sht like orn /fiora/darius......

Also again ur prefectly fitt little ashes can go trough walls wich sion cant do. Im sry i will stop here since i dont find this conversation usefull at all as my last words im glad atleast the game isnt balanced by ppl like yourself.

That wouldn't be crazy, but his ult doesn't need a nerf.

Maybe if his ability to turn is improved, that would be a fair trade.

Risen292 votes

Nobody said nerf it. It would still function just as well for what it was intended for - engage and travel to the battle.

Or you can just stand in front of him or touch his butt a little, that would've stop him ulting away.
