My main champions is now a Tier 5 champion at a 42.82% Win-Rate, with the lowest Win-Rate out of all roles and champions in game.

How do you some of you deal with cases like this, of when your main champion that has such a relatively similar low Win-Rate? Do you stop playing them until they get better or do you keep playing them no matter what?

Playing less.

Try something off-meta. Something that isn't commonly done on the champion.

For example, I play a lot of Kayle.

Whilst the usual build on Kayle looks something like this:

item 3115 item 3091 item 3124 item 3085 item 3146item 3006

I personally go this:

item 3042 item 3040 item 3115 item 3091 item 3124 item 3020

Many people would scoff at the idea of a mana build on Kayle but it actually works to great extent provided my team doesn't feed

You just have to try something different every now and then.

Yeah I will probably have to. I will try to find someone else to play until Varus is in a better place.

Btw what was your idea behind the double tear Kayle? Is it for more mixed damage?

  1. Kayle's laning phase is already extremely strong. Her Q deals big damages and slows them down allowing you to give them a thorough spanking, her W allows her to sustain and pretty much just stay in lane forever and her E is basically her bread and butter. THE ONLY THING that gates Kayle is mana costs and buying a Tear of the Goddess as your first item practically makes laning phase a breeze and you almost never have to back.

  2. Kayle's Q has a 100% AD ratio and the splash damage on her E scales with 40% AD. Usually, I sell my boots and buy Essence Reaver even though I'm overcapping on CDR simply because of the extra AD, mana regen, and the added utility when I activate my ult (which is on a 40 sec cooldown in the late game by the way).

  3. Manamune is just so easy to stack on Kayle since she basic attacks a lot.

  4. Kayle's Q is one of the few single target abilities in the game, meaning it procs Manamune's Shock passive.

  5. Building mixed damage makes it hard to itemize against her, especially because of her passive shred. However, you'll still deal mostly magic damage which is why I build Wit's End.

When you already main a champ, the general win rate doesnt matter. The only thing that realy matters, is YOUR winrate.

general winrate is a good indicator for, "what champ should I play NEXT?"

I'm reminded of when veigar got his rework. Everyone was saying it was garbage. he had a 45% winrate or something. meanwhile, my winrate was 80% :D

have you tried different playstyles? I'm pretty sure that's on-hit Varus.

Maybe reviving Legolas Varus mid?

I tried a lot of things after the Marksman item changes.

Crit > On-Hit > Lethality > AP

AP proved to be the best thus far. I might try Lethality again, to see if I might have a better success with it.

To be honest I wouldn't discourage myself on playing your main based off a winrate number.

I for myslef would never stop playing GP. I might play him less and would propably not play him in ranked if it was really horrible (something like >40% WR) but I would never completely stop playing him.

If you truly play the champion for the champion then try to find success in other ways. Who knows maybe mid lane Varus is the thing now. Or some weird tear build will rise.

If you get frustrated then just take a break and explore other champs. Maybe you will find another champ that you like.

Maybe Urgot is the thing for you who knows.

If you see your regulsr build failing, make a custom on of your own and try every time until it's successful. Jist like people though Xin chilled from s tier till someome invented Phase Rush Xin.

I myself habe been having struggles with Vayne because I reaally wanted to learn how to play hail of blades/cloak/celerity/essemce reaver build, but I wasn't very successful with it. My.winrate with that build is..... I don't have a win out of all the matches I played with it. So I swapped back to regular crit/fleet and I was good to go once again. For Varus, who is my pitpocket pick I constantly swap between crit and on hit. Once I dominated with crit till I stopped using it after 8.11, went on hit again, went 14/0, etc.

But to truly leave your mains you consider your babies...? No, I don't think I would. It's like if someone asked if your mom wanted an abortion with you.
