More IP :/

Before downvoting in the name of your favorite rito gods, hear me out. First let's give an example "I want to buy Ekko". But how long will it take to buy ekko? Let's assume I have a 100 percent winrate, making a generous 100 ip per game and winning every game at 25 minutes.

6300÷100ip= 63×25minutes= 1575÷60= over 26 hours.

26 hours isn't so bad, if you play a couple hours a day, you could get a new champ in a couple weeks. But let's see something a little more realistic...

6300÷90ip= 70×30minutes= 2100÷60= 35 hours

For summoners that don't always have as much spare time to play LoL this is a massive hurdle. But I know what you are going to say "Riot is a business, they have to make money some way!". I don't want every champion to be free, but a serious ip price reduction, or ip gain increase would massively benefit the new player experience. Dota 2 has been able to support it's game without any kind of champion purchase system so I know LoL could do it too. I hope you feel the same way, and would love your guys opinion.

You forgot to account for the first win of the day bonus. I guess that compensates for the games you lose though XD. I have problems grinding new champions I want to play as well, I just buy champ shards and hope the champ I want is the one I get lol

with wins and losses, you average about 70 ip a game. Let's say you play 4 games a day, that's 430 IP including fwotd bonus. at 430 ip a day, you get a new 6300 ip champion ever 2 weeks, less time for cheaper champions obviously Assuming you want to play the champion you just got, that's not really that bad honestly. That's not even factoring in champions you'll get from chests. I've never had a problem with the IP cost of champions. It should take some time to unlock everything I think.

I get about 1k-2k flat IP per day. I can unlock a new 4800 champion (7 left out of 37) roughly every 4 days including first win of the day.

weekly you should get: 1050 flat IP for first win of the day

If I get 1k IP per day that's 7k + 1050 = 8050 lets just call it 8k

lets say I really decide to no life it and get 2k IP per day

14k + 1k = 15k

I can now unlock 3 4800 champions per week.

So basically it's going to take me 2 weeks (minimum) to unlock the rest of the 4800 champions

After that it's only 5100 IP per champion (you are not supposed to buy 6300 champions! you purchase mystery champion shards for 1700)

1700 IP x 3 = 6300 IP champion

so instead of 189000 it only costs me 153000 IP to unlock the rest of the 30 champions (albeit randomly instead of my choice)

of course sometimes I get sick of playing and don't play some days, other days I may only get 500 IP

the point is I like

Well I can't play ten games a day :/ I was talking about the new player experience, not veterans.

Wait for a discount. I never buy 6300 ip champs.

There aren't sales on ip though. Unless you don't care what champion you get and just want to spend 5100 ip on shards, you have to spend 6300 ip if you want the champions.

Not even when Cho'gath was 50% off?

I've been playing LoL for 4 years I only have 13 champions left to buy at this point. Some champions I bought through RP as well.

I don't mind the IP cost on champions, if they would lower the cost on seals and glyphs n stuff. and maybe release new champs slower? at this rate, I can't own all the champions because after I buy 1 or 2 a new one comes out. and that means I have to choose between champions, or the things that are required to play said champions.
