Who else is liking the trinity force change?

Cheaper, open to more champions, and a nerf to Gangplank and Yasou. Who could want more? Will Skarner being building this more often over Black Cleaver and Iceborn Gaunlet? Also I still like GP, but yasou players well... their tears and salt will go well with my meals.

Just to ruin your meals: Now Yasuo can build IE AND TF without caring too much about wasted stats. He'll still appreciate the attack speed along with almost all the other stats and the passives. Only difference will probably be the fact that TF's probably third or fourth item if people decide to build it, oh and the fact that he'll be slightly less bruiser-y if people do decide to build it at all.

GL getting 100% crit and not getting one-shot then lol

GL 1 shotting someone with damage reduction and life steal in their build

Oakleaf Ranger1 votes

life steal implies that someone lives long enough to actually get their health back, food for thought

I mean, not really. PD > IE > TF (or BC for that matter, more health and armor shredding passive and speed boost) > DD > SG. Some defensive boots, take Warlord's and bam, just enough survivability late game to get out of most team fights alive if your team follows up well. [slayer-jinx-wink]

From a pure power perspective Yasuo couldnt care less about this change. Just go IE instead and he is set, Trifroce was fun for lots of yasuos because it was something else to build that worked just as well, now they just have to stick to IE, more boring for them? Maybe. Less powerfull? Hell no, he will still be destroying people.

GP's consistency is going to completely drop off though, sometimes he will not crit and be a useless squishy running around doing nothing, other times he will crit and half of his opponents will be at half health. So GP might see a fairly significant winrate drop, but yasuo will be fine as he has a replacement item

Is it really that bad for GP? He still has access to plenty of items that give crit though. I heard a lot of yasou's at higher elo prefer trinity over IE though. I don't play the weeabo magnet, but I imagine the utility from trinity is more useful than just stronger crits

How many yasuo's have gut you like a pig, and then salted the wound for you to be this salty about him?

Oakleaf Ranger1 votes

I think I have only ever been beaten in lane by 2-3 yasous and even then that was a long time ago since now its more like a swatting a fly for me. Its the fact that I also get these same flies on my team who go off to feed their laner who tend to snowball out of control while yasou becomes useless that I have a problem with.

This raises the question then, why are you glad yasuo lost a build path/got nerfed? All it will do is make the baddies feed harder

good point, on the other hand this could also decrease his play rate so I end up seeing less of him.

GP needs to avoid attack speed like the plague, there is nothing in his kit that benefits from attack speed, no on 3 hits, no ranged auto attacks, nothing. Triforce is now spending more gold on its attack speed, becoming a bit less efficient.

GP also needs crit, Tri will have less crit. GP has to build tri tho because his entire kit is based around proccing 200% dmg sheens, so now his whole kit based around crits and sheen procs will not have a smooth item path, as he will be forced to buy a pure attack speed and crit item in a zeal to make an IE ever make use of its passive effect.

Over all GP is in an ok spot atm, so he will just fall down to being one of the many 'kinda bad' champs, which LoL has a ton of, so its not all that big of a deal. He will prob get something good for him in like 6 - 12 months and be in an ok spot again. With this change though, Jax and Irelia get to come back to being in an ok spot now instead of being 'kinda bad'. The cycle of LoL continues on and on!

come on, if people start building attack speed on GP you have to admit its at least gonna look cool as he runs up to people and starts fighting like jack sparrow. attack speed crit gangplank sounds like its gonna be ballin.

Cheers to that, yeh scurvy dawg

Irelia Mi gusta

Its not really bad for gangplank, its just not good for critplank aka gangplank for people who are just learning to play him

Better ones will be fine. If GP was building trininty it probably wasn't for the crit, just saying.

Very True. I prefer to utilize something in it's place unless I get really fed...til then, no thanks.

well as a Swain main, I find this slight nerf to be a Divine Retribution then.

Irelia is going to be a monster lol.

I'm sure it will hurt someone though but anyone who was depending on irelia scaling too slow to be a monster is going to get fucked.
