if you check champion.gg. Rylais is being build on the highest winrate builds. of every mage in league of legends except one or two. the item is too good.
even kayle builds it.
perma slow is cancer. let alone 400 hp and 100 ap from one item.

I can post a link for about 20-25 champions. and it will include the highest winrate build which every single one of them has rylais. am not lying. you can easily look it up.
BLACK REALM GOD4 votesfor a mage any hp items that also give ap (especially when that ap is over 80) is fantastic. just like how zhonya and abyssal now are fantastic. survival is the theme of the season and true damage reigns supreme. if you have hp you have a better chance of winning. hands down.

Meep Man3 votesThat's because a ton of AP items became niche and Rylai's was the only one that really stayed the same. We got Morello, which is a common pick, then we got Luden's, which is only good for Burst Mages, then we got the Hextech items which are for some niche roles, and then we got Rod of Ages which is now more of a brawler Mage item. Liandry's is still only really worth it on DoT/Multi-Hit Mages and Rabadon's just isn't incredible anymore past super AP users. Abysal Scepter's aura range makes it more for Brawler Mages as well, and Athene's became a Support item. Rylai's is the only item to stay so generic and that's why it's built so commonly.

is hecarim with ghost not viable because he doesn't take flash? Also, yeah no. That's not how league works. If it was actually making them unviable there would be an issue. Right now it's just an annoyance.

Dynikus2 votesThere's literally no reason you would want to build two rylai's. Please look at what you're linking instead of just blinding regurgitating it. That alone should make you question the validity of your source. There's no reason to build rylai's with annie either, since her stun is a major part of her kit and it basically always up. Ahri's has enough mobility and CC between Q, R, and E that she doesn't need it There are much, much better items to build on katarina than rylai's since she won't really be able to put the slow to that good of a use. Cho was actually a misclick, my bad. But you still linked Cho'gath top. if you were going off the highest winrate builds, cho mid doesn't build it either.
Even let's say those champions do build it, what about the other 18 that don't?

Targon1 votesI only really see Rylai's built on the champions you mentioned and maybe also Xerath (it's easy to hit his abilities and especially his ultimate with it). The only other times I see it bought is as a 6th pick item to make a mage more durable with the HP or to stack AP for Rabadons.
