About the buffs and subsequent nerfs to ardent censor and mikael's

You know, I'm a little surprised riot let those items into the wild without at least making them unique to begin with. TBH, I thought they were on the page that healing is toxic so the fact they didn't even have a precaution in place on the changes seems off to me. Also, they should have known that if it was possible to exploit, the players would try it.

So Riot, how did the healing boosts get released in the first place without being unique? That seems like a balance safety process (or two) had to have failed.

As a second question, is having only master+ QA members an issue? At that ELO are players too conservative with things like builds and are your internal guys unwilling to experiment or "troll" by seeing what happens if you stack +60% healing on someone like Soraka or Sona? If no one brought that up as an issue maybe you guys need to double check how you review things.

It was intentional to release them as they originally were, and at Master+ they aren't actually that conservative. A good number of them do off meta things, or just things that are completely different from the norms. They're better to consult for it than lower tiers.

Riot are always weird about healing. Remember at the start of season 6 when they made GW not affect direct healing and released windspeakers, how did they think Soraka wouldn't get broken xD?

For Nexus Siege as Soraka I built 5 Ardents and 1 Deathcap. My heals were 1000-1200 per W (1.1 CD) and my ultimate was a full team heal regardless of GW (The 50% increased healing from Wish helps loads). Even if they had GW my W was doing 500-700 per cast which is still really high. It is pretty broken actually, at the end game my healing done bar is like 100k healing done, usually double the size of the bar of the player who had the highest damage done. Try it, it's hilarious and toxic AF.
