It can be hard, because while riot is trying to make the match even, the players are trying to make the match uneven (why else do you think ppl smurf?), and it takes too long before the system can accurately identify the mmr an individual player belongs, and matching that player with 9 other accurately mmr-identified players.
making the match even> rigging it so everyone is 50% winrate
sure anything can happen and sure u can even win (like in the case of 4v5's) but the bottom line question is...is it right/fair thing to do?
in an ideal world, a s5 should fight other s5's.... s5's shouldnt be thrown into the same game with both a bronze 5 and a gold 5 in it plus everything in between...
or does that make to much sense? (dont say there isnt enough people there is plenty) maybe not so much in higher elos but even that is dumb, look at the Dom video where the enemy team had over 2200 higher lp than the other team...guess how it went?
btw as far as smurfs they have smurf detectors that keep track of how u do (kills wins cs etc) and it will inflate ur mmr if it finds u to be one
btw maybe this wouldnt be as bad of a problem if people werent thrown into ranked like halfway up the ladder? right now u can lose like 9/10 placements and still get silver....thats a problem
