So about the Leona changes...

I think instead of randomly... making her ult give her range and damage on autos? so like instead of her ult giving her a mini kayle E. I think they should.

Make sunlight stack(so less is wasted) make it so she can proc it(giving her solo dueling power so she is not helpless alone. Every other support tank has AA dps). Nerf it slightly early game, buff it slightly late game. Then make her W have passive damage reduction that is boosted when active(Adjust numbers as needed). Instead of just only available while active. So she has some form of passive tankiness which she lacks atm.

I think that would make her far more functional in general, than the miniature Kayle E. But that is me. Somebody who loves Leona and is not interested in E-Sports decisive moments or short games for profit. Plus it might give her some viability outside of bot lane, aside from bringing her solo dueling power up to the levels of every other tank support.

It makes no sense. Because let's look at all the other support tanks...

Tahm: % health based damage on autos. Blitz: Attack speed steroid on W plus AD scaling on his E. Bard(not entirely a tank): Basic attack steroid from his chimes. Braum: Basic attacks do bonus damage to targets marked by his passive, and even more when it hits four stacks. Nautilus: Bonus damage and root on passive, bonus DoT on his W. Thresh: Incentive to build some AD and the passive on his E.

All of these support tanks have dueling power. Leona's is gated by her being unable to proc it herself. Making her utterly helpless when alone. She suffers from new Soraka syndrome. Which makes supports miserable to play. Whereas Sona can still nuke pretty hard with her Q and autos and has a lot of power, Soraka is helpless alone. This is the same with Leona, she just dies. Heck, even Alistar can jungle and top, even though he is best support.
