Karma, Gromp trick

Elite4Runner··24 votes·918 views

I'm not sure how well known this is, but one of my favorite tricks with Karma when I'm low on health is to stand on the opposite side of the wall as Gromp, place a ward next to him, and use a Mantra empowered W (Renewal) on Gromp and get a huge chunk of my health back essentially for free because he will reset before he can deal damage.

I'm sure there are some other good spots where this can be done fairly well, and you can always just kite most camps and take little to no damage to accomplish the same thing.

Keep this in mind next time you are playing Karma and save yourself a trip back to heal up.

I imagine the reason you're getting down voted is because, instead of complaining, you're offering a tip about a champion that, really, just is a very situational and not very complicated tip. Have an up vote to offset that.

I didn't know offering tips was a bad thing lol. No, it isn't really all that complicated, but it is very useful.

Or it's just the downvote trolls that roam the boards.

Lol wtf? -1 for a tip that is extremely effective.

Am I wrong? Is it not a good tip? Is it common knowledge already?

Who knows. I think it's a good tip and I didn't realise Karma's W worked on non-champions.

+14 now, looks much better.

I'm glad I was able to let at least one person know of it to help.

It only works on Champions, large, and epic monsters.

The reason I use this example is because I feel that it is one of, if not the easiest and safest position from which you can use this trick. You do not take any damage (if done correctly), you do not kill Gromp, so you aren't taking any gold from your own jungler if you are doing it on your side of the map. You aren't putting yourself in any extreme risk by venturing too far into the jungle, it only takes about 7 seconds to place the ward, R + W, then walk back to lane.

So yeah, as I said before, this isn't all that ground breaking, but I haven't ever heard anyone point this out, and I discovered it on my own (fairly quickly) but if someone sees this but was unaware, mission accomplished.

You can also do the same on any camp. Raptors are most convenient when playing mid. RW and shield yourself so that you don't take any damage.

Then you can either clear the camp if you want, or just leave it for use later if you don't want to take it away from your jungler.

Keep in mind, in the screenshots I provided, I was playing as a support so I didn't have much AP. With more AP, this heal can be pretty substantial.

Everyone knows that. Since the changes to her W that allow her to use it in the jungle this has been a thing for a long time.

It's apparently not something EVERY ONE knew or I don't think I would have got as many upvotes. Not a massive amount but I bet at least some of themy appreciated it. Also, Karma was very neglected not too long ago.

Ok, not everyone, but still is something that every person that read the patch ntes/watch a patch roundown o pay some attention to content vreators should know.

Regardless, if it helps anyone, I am glad to have shared it. Also, I kinda like to just share ideas so that they are out there, known or not. I have many "ideas" that I'm positive I'm not the first person to have thought of or try. How absurd would I be to think otherwise? This is literally the most consistently played video game in the world.
