@Riot context on Titanic Hydra nerfs on PBE

50-35 damage? why nerf the bonus AD as opposed to the Health or the on-hit ratio? Im pretty sure the people found the item so attractive was for the big health spike it offered.

Im assuming this AD nerf was targeted at MasterYi and Fiora ? but I actually really liked this item. On somechampions it felt less abusable but still fun

Vi Riven Shen Renekton Sion but with the big AD nerf it might not be worth picking up anymore.

Is this a Item for weakfighters looking for a bit hp or is this a Item for HP stacking bruisers who want a scaling damage Id just like some context or clarity on these nerfs.

Thematically, I feel like 'Titanic Hydra' should be an item that rewards stacking a massive amount of health. I feel like this item 'fits' thematically on a champion that builds Cinderhulk or a bunch of other tank items.

I think the problem occurs when bruisers build Titanic. A champion like Yi can build it as a standalone HP item, alongside maybe one other tank item (like Sterak's), then build Maw (which has no HP). Yi would be able to dish out an insane amount of damage while still being impossible to burst.

In my opinion it would be fine if they reduced AD to 35, but increased the on-hit HP ratio to 1.5%, so it would balance out at 3k. (If the item itself is too powerful, even reducing AD to 30 so it balanced out at 4k would be alright.) Another solution might be to make the on-hit scale with Bonus Health.

This would reduce it's effectiveness on champs that build AS, crit, and AD, such as Devourer junglers, but it would still reward champions who built a 'titanic' amount of HP.

Maybe because the primary idea of the item IS giving a health spike? Though i'd prefer a change to the active, as the AA-reset offers it quite massive burst, even without building much health for the ratio.

They should leave it alone...bu they won't.

With about 2 HP items the active on it which is a mere 20s CD can do about 400 damage to the target and all targets behind it in a cone.

tbh its a little too strong. I mean anyone that will build any of the hydras won't build crit. mostly on hit damage. and titanic gives more on hit damage than ravenous. superior waveclear. and a lot of health. even wiithout stacking health it gives more damage. 20 less ad but you get 40-50 more on hit damage. crazy and considering it applies that on hit damage to all targets including the main target unlike ravenous. it works well with most champions that have abilities hat apply on hit. though they reduced the damage a lot. I feel like. they should give it to compensate. ravenous gives you lifesteal. idk what titanic would give. 10% cdr? throw something as a compensation that tanks appreciate.

anyway. these tank/juggernaut items. need to be made exclusvely for them. why do they work with base hp. they should be just bonus HP. just like steraks. why do these items get nerfed because other classes abuse them?

What I'm more concerned about is how they're gutting Tiamat in order to make this nerf to Titanic go through.

Maybe change it to be similar to Steraks? As in Titanic gives 400 extra base health, and change the active to scale with bonus health.
