Let me illustrate this point. Enemy team locks in Tryndamere. You are say a... Jayce main (who?) and want to play what should be a skill matchup- but its not anymore. Your choices involve picking Malphite / Rammus to counter or Fiora / Jax for op v op. Anything else just puts you in a hole. Does anyone think this is good?

It because preseason buffed AD through the roof, while ADCs are very strong now, the melee carrys are way worse for some reason. I understand that Riot wanted to diversify the item options for ADs but the damage itself needs to be throttled back across the board, because its frankly ridiculous .

Honestly, if you ask me, this has been a problem since the day this community decided winning>having fun. It's not a champion problem, it's an attitude problem. Now, there have of course been times (Tank meta ftw) where it at least felt like you could use any champ you wanted and still have a chance, but that's because tanks don't burst you down so fast that you don't have the opportunity to react with actual skill. However, as a whole, I don't think that the attitude of the majority is ever going to really change, simply because that's how the world works. Right now, yes, it's a tough time. But you must remember that the game is always going to be like this to some extent.

This is why I wish there was some way of only allowing people who want to chill and actually enjoy a video game for being a fun video game in normals, and leave the competitive people to ranked. When they intermingle it simply doesn't work out well for either.

Have you tried Azir top? He can poke Trynd down from a safe distance. And has a decent escape combo.

I feel like its not so much only pick the champs you can consider meta and win, but rather there are a few champs out that benefiting too much from the new items. However there are two champs at the moment that could use a nerf to their damage: Illaoi TahmKench

But remember its preseason and all temporary.

Yep as of patch 5.3 in December of 2015 if you can't win unless you are playing the strongest champs even with great game play.

I just go Singed top. But of course fucking Kayle is worth using again because of rageblade

Have you tried Teemo or Ryze ? I usually use those against Tryn because I suck at melee carries and they usually ban Malphite if they first pick Tryn.

If you're playing normal blindpick then that's to be expected. You are going to see the same strong champions almost every game. That's how it's always been.

You don't have to pick the strongest champions, but you'll definitely learn how to play against them (the hard and painful way).

I've been playing a lot of Sion recently (though normals may vary) and it's fine for me. I don't think he's considered strong right now.
