Ranked Flex is Broken?

In my placement game I won 7/10 and got placed in Gold 1 (from Plat IV), which is understandable and happens every season.

I immediately climbed to promos and went 2/3 so I have to climb back up again. That would be possible if I didn't lose twice as much LP for losing a match as i got for winning a match. How am I 17/11 (61% winrate) and in this situation?

From what I understand how it used to work was when you were a higher MMR than rank, you gained more LP than you lost, and vice-versa.

How is it that my MMR is lower than my rank despite winning most of my games? Or is the new queue just so broken for the luls? Every game is a crapshoot for who you will be playing with, I regularly see Bronze and Diamond players in the same games, how is that even remotely possible? I have 10 minute queues and THIS is the best matchmaking can do?

It's because of something that's been happening with MMR, who knows.

But as I've been telling all the other "ranked is broken" threads, Riot obviously notices the issues and will likely fix them, so for now why not enjoy it?

Help the Bronzes know what they're doing wrong and what they can improve on. But don't be a butthole about it.

Learn from the diamonds. Look at their playstyles, understand why they're better than you and work on what they're doing.

Once soloq comes out, flex q rank will be considered nothing. So for now, have fun and be positive. Your flex queue rank won't mean much mate after all the stuff that's happening with mmr :c

Flex isn't solo queue, you'll just have to wait for solo queue to come out.

You got Gold 1? You're lucky. I got placed in Bronze 5 after playing with Bronzes and Silvers every game. Guaranteed this is my smurf, but I'm scared to play on my main after seeing how bad players were at that elo. Its hard to carry when everyone on your team is 0/7 Thanks rito

After Riot "fixed" ranked, and I lost my single placement game (thanks 2/14 fizz) I got placed in Silver III. Well at least I have a reason to play against silver now, and I am 8/2 since then lol.
