Dodges over Anivia supp?

So my little sister was autofilled into supp, and she's a 1-trick Anivia, I've seen Anivia support but every time she locks in Anivia someone on her team lets time run out (usually the ADC), what do people have against Anivia support?

Incredibly frail, unreliable stun (especially against mobility), high skill execution in general but especially as a support, very off-meta, potential to completely screw your team with the wall, typical builds are very unfeasible from the support position meaning she loses a large amount of effectiveness.

Good news is, since neither of you are dodging, you're not having to deal with the time penalty.

Only issue i see is that she is slow, squishy as hell, and her stun is unreliable against mobile champs. And bot lane is simply a cheese lane now. I mean, Lee Sin Support is a thing now..... MY god what has become of bot lane.

anivia support isn't the best choice, but then on top of this anivia in the hands of a one trick is scary as hell and probably not a win waiting to happen

She's played Anivia since Rek'sai's release, and is mastery 7 with Anivia.

You can get level 7 without winning a single game.

It simply isn't practical and does not invoke confidence of any kind

This is her first season in ranked and was placed at Silver 3, and she's a REALLY good Anivia player.

silver 3 isn't "good"

no smart person is going to readily trust anyone who picks anivia as support no normal person is going to already know what to do if they have an anivia as support, especially not in silver 3

expecting a silver 3 to do well with an anivia as support is not practical especially if they had to pick their champ first

Why go for a support like her when you have better options like Thresh (who can hook enemies at a distance, reposition an ally with his W, slow and damage with ult, and provide peel with his E) or Janna (armed with a kit to deny so many kills and provide good peeling).

What does an adc get with an Anivia support? Stunning the duo enemy laners with a q that she has to consistently land, a wall that can either screw the enemy team or screw your adc (which seems to happen most of the time imo), an E that mostly relies on her to land her Q, and an ult that she can't use effectively in lane (high mana-cost, not so beneficial until it fully forms, being careful to not use it on minions).

I'd argue that before the changes made to her a few months ago on her ult, she would be somewhat more viable as a support than she currently is. With that being said, I'd still take any other supports than her. If you wanna try something off-meta as a support, I'd play Lissandra. During the right opportunity, you can E onto the enemy, recast it, then root them with your W and ult them if your jungler is nearby for an good kill.

Yeah....thing is, she doesn't play any ACTUAL support champs, either they're boring (Raka, Tahm Kench, Taric)

Or too hard. (Thresh and Bard.)

Technically has same problems as Anivia.

not even close

plus she has black shield which is particularly good in bot as it counters many supports. Her disable is also much stronger than anivias outside of damage
