thats... 9 classes to balance for and around. What do you guys think of this massive number of classes that all need to be balanced around each other and with each other?

AP/AD carries - Does a lot of damage, most reliable champs in terms of damage for team AP/AD Bruiser/Fighters - Mediocre tanks, does good damage AD Casters - AD champs that depends on spells Juggernaut - Tanky, does mediocre damage and has mediocre CC or no CC. Tanks - Super tank and a lot of CC, does no damage
then we have sub categories
Carry DPS (ADC) Carry Assassin Carry Burst (APC) Poke Splitpusher Teamfighter Support
Not all AP mids can actually carry without snowballing. Ahri, Katarina, Cassiopeia, Azir, Karthus or Ziggs can solo carry with farm alone while Annie or Malzahar are unlikely to solo carry if they don't snowball and put the enemy team behind.
Not all ADCs can solo carry without snowballing and suppressing the enemy ADC. Sivir, Vayne and Kog can carry even if they're 0-20, as long as they get items. Lucian can't solo carry when both ADCs are 6 slotted; he has to end the game before the enemy ADC can get farmed.
Not all bruisers are incapable of solo carrying. Jax is the most infamous solo carrying bruiser.
I think whether a champ can actually carry is an important distinction to make.
Lets put it in a basketball stand point
Note: These can all switch except for prob ADC Point Guard - Jungler or Mid SG - ADC SF - Mid or Jungler PF - Bruiser or Support C - Support or Bruiser
But theres many different kind and types of players for each role. We can have Chris Paul in the point guard position making plays all over the map, or we can have Steph Curry carrying his team by making plays all over the map. More option make the game more fun and more enjoyable to watch, different kind of game play, different type of players and how different people want or like to play.
Balancing stand point, as long as no one can carry how of nothing and there is weakness somewhere with the champion, then they will do just fine.
